So first off does anyone have a rough idea about how much the Jazz might have next year in spending? I know its unclear with the CBA but I believe we will have something. So I bolded some names that could be interesting. Anyone you guys see that might fit in the Jazz budget?

Also I REALLY hope the Jazz go after Tayshaun Prince, he would be a great fit and he should be highly considered before AK.

Ew....Favors and Gasol down low? Favors could be great but that would be a huge blackhole on offense down low. We need low post scoring.
 
Sign Jarron Collins for the vet minimum (not kidding) and either Ronnie Price for the minimum, or Kyle Weaver.

1) I don't know that you know what "blackhole" means as it pertains to basketball
2) Have you seen Gasol play? Have you seen how few of possessions he's given on the block and his percentages?

All I know is that when I read Pacers boards, they're high on Al and think it's time to start going all-in on winning now. I haven't noticed that Paul George is worshipped there, but I probably haven't looked hard enough.

They think of George like we think of Hayward. And they like Al, but don't want Hibbert and Jefferson paired.

Well, he's right about a Favors/Gasol frontcourt being a black hole. Until Favors develops a low post game, the ball would rarely get scored. If Randolph wasn't there, and Memphis tried to play through Gasol in the post, they'd win about 20 games.

Umm, do you know what "blackhole" means as it pertains to basketball?

Also, is Favors supposed to score more playing next to a guy that doesn't know how to play in a structured offense or recognize or know how to properly react to a double-team?

Yes, I'm well aware of what you're referring to. But so is he probably since his point seems to be a Favors/Gasol frontcourt has no low post scoring option. Pretty tough to win that way.

Passing. It's about passing. You're kidding me, right? A "blackhole" player is a guy that doesn't pass the ball. You're joking.
 
Blackhole. The ball gets sucked in somewhere (a player's hands) and won't back out (to other players).

I'd be more worried about a frontcourt that couldn't score than one that wouldn't pass. But to play along, I think Al is going to improve a lot as a passer. The reason I think that is because he's a willing passer and a team player even more than Boozer. He's just never played in a system that A) required him to do it and B) where there were actual passing options.

I'd love for Locke to do something useful and analyze all our offensive possessions after 14 seconds on the shot clock had elapsed. In the first 14, the ball often went down low to Al and he either did his work in the post or passed it back out to the perimeter. In the last 10, he frequently wound up with the ball in his hands while nobody did anything. Consequently, Al 'can't pass.'
 
The term blackhole is used for players that have no offense, many people used it when talking about Brewer on the Jazz.
