Have the people who quit caring whether Portland lost a week or so ago come back to the fold and started cheering for Portland losses again?

Oscar Wilde wrote a brilliant political commentary in the form of a drama called "The Importance of Being Earnest". It was the funniest serious bit of political revelation in British History, but you had to think twice to understand. It was about some cultured ladies who had corresponded with a fictional chap named Earnest and were set on marriage. The spoofers had to show up to enjoy the temporary wealth of being welcomed in the best of British society.

The ladies were so charmed by their imaginary correspondent "Earnest" it was just unthinkable to break their hearts and confess. Yes there was more than one lady they had spoofed, and so there had to be someone willing to be real for them.

I consider all Anglo-American politics to be a scam on the world, but nothing can be as important as pretending to be free societies respecting the wishes of the ignorant dupes we all are.

In that context, I find local JFC characters pretending to be anyone quite hilarious, and quite a relief from fake reality.

He's not even trying to hide who he is. Your decades of linguistic training has failed you as surely as your decades of study of genetics, or decades long study of the climate.

Don't forget his decades of studying the effects of marijuana use. I'm sure we're still missing at least a half-dozen other things babe has spent decades studying.

It isn't that dazzling, years ago i was working at one of Melbourne's after hours nightclubs and Mr Statham proceeded to take all the drugs, while gacked off his head Mr Statham met a rather attractive and very young lady, i'd guess 17 to 18, tall, blonde, model type. The manager of the venue who is one of the gaping arseholes of the Melbourne hospitality industry (he actually owns a bar two doors down from mine, nearly 15 years later he's still a prick) organised for our man Jason to have the apartment that was next to the venue to entertain the young lady, champagne and other mood enhancers were provided by the venue and promoters and all assumed Mr Statham would enjoy the finest of Melbourne's hospitality. Unfortunately Jason due probably to the fantastic amount chemicals he had consumed that evening was unable but not unwilling to reach satisfaction. However our man remained steadfast in his desire to entertain and not disappoint the young lady, felt he should extend his performance to the standard one would expect from a Hollywood hard man. So at about 6am the manager receives a rather awkward phone call from Jason and post haste dispatches a friend of mine to score him some Viagra from a DJ working at another nightclub. I can't remember who had the awkward job of delivering the merchandise but ever since I have considered him to be soft.

Im on the fence. I don't know if I want 3rd or 4th. Both are homecourt so that's a wash. I think the 4th seed has a more like chance at playing Houston, who I prefer over a healthy GS.
Really depends on who finishes 5th and 6th and since we don't know that yet then I have no idea if I want to catch Portland.
 
Go Clippers over the Nugzs (Clips at home)

Go Rockets over the Thunder (Rockets at home but nothing to play for any more)

Go Warriors over the Pelicans (Warriors at home but nothing to play for an they need to get healthy)

Go Spurs over the Blazers (Yes I want the 3rd seed but is the Blazers win it is still a win for the Jazz) (Spurs at home and both teams need a win)
 
I want the playoff bracket to freeze right now. 4/5 versus NO is ideal imo. AD is great... the rest of the roster is meh at best. Houston in the second round... I have a friend who is a huge Rockets fan... the shocker is he is the best guy... he is legit a super smart basketball guy. I mentioned we might see them in the second round and that we always beat them in the playoffs... he mentioned now they had CP... I told him we always beat him in the playoffs too... long pause... deep breath... and just a head nod. His confidence seemed to wain a bit... seems like a good sign to me?

Yep. I have felt like this for a long time. I think we beat the pelicans in 5 or 6 games. I think a healthy warriors team kicks our butt. Houston probably does too but a healthy warriors team is in the conversation of greatest team of all time so I would like to avoid them.
