Colton's Mock Draft Compilation, v. 10.0

Sorry what were Pavel's accolades again? You are really reaching to laughable points now. He played 10 minutes and averaged 4 points in euro league play. He was drafted because he was 7'5". You will never see ogres like that drafted ever again. The game is just too fast with todays athletes.

Ahhhh...somebody really, REALLY loves kanter. Its kind of cute.

If i am guilty of anything its for being a pessimist on this situation. I am never one to follow the flock, i make my own decisions and i perfer knight. I dont hold any hope that kanter will be better than darko ( ill use this example as its been stated he had similar accolades). He does not have a body of work tojudge against so i am not willing to drop a number 3 pick on him. To say he was perhaps considered to be the number one pick is true, but so was ed davis 2010 and he had some college bball experience. Anything can change draft order. Just ask pavel.

I agree that Kanter does not even really have a body of work to allow us to evaluate him, so maybe I'm just holding out hope that he can be what some people propose that he can be. And while it is certainly the exception more than it is the rule, plenty of HS stars with little to no body of work to judge against have turned out to be stars. Not saying that Kanter is going to be one, but I will say that an excellent collegiate or european career is not always the determining factor to how good someone can be.

I think it's funny that all the Kanter haters' first line of defense is that the guy has not played in a meaningful game for a year. This is true. But what gets me is that the overall consensus #1 pick has basically been sitting around for a few months doing absolutely nothing (as evidenced by his 10% body fat) while Kanter has been working his arse off to get into shape and get better. Couple that with the hype that Kanter had coming into UK (some thought he'd be a #1 pick before the season began) and I don't see how anyone can hate the guy. I get it if you'd want Knight over him, but I just don't get the animosity towards him.

Dude, Irving had a toe injury. That kind of prevented him from doing things such as running and working out.

What about Dirk, Memo, Yao, Turkulo, and Peja. How many home grown US players have been busts. Here are two PG that in recent memories that were huge busts Dee Brown, and Mateen Cleaves. Both of these players dominated the NCAA and were NBA busts. Remember the NCAA is not the same as it once was. Most all of the really talented players move on when they have a chance. So, quit acting like dominating in college makes you so much better than a Euro. It is a crap shoot either way. But, Kanter is going to be an Allstar and Knight might start for an NBA team someday.

Kanter- Knight, Knight-Kanter.

It doesn't really matter. The Jazz will be drafting Jonas Valuncianus, because right next to where KOC writes Michael Jordan on the draft board someone else writes "YOU CAN'T TEACH HEIGHT" the Jazz believe it.

Look at the many jazz draft draft mistakes over the past 25 years, the majority were BIG mistakes.

This is true of almost every team. What is your point? Teams are morely to take a chance on a big guy?
