You are joking right? NO defensive strategy was applied here. NONE. You think that if scouted and that game meant a damn he would have produced what he did? And yes those players came highly regarded. Heres a few more of these amazing game changing bigs that were supposed take the nba by storm and had sites such as this giddy as they are now with kanter for no damn reason.

Glassman aka adrynas. Has his face blasted in by some thug in the dleague. Was at one point considered a top 5 cant miss prospect. All the accolades of the mythical kanter

Darko. What else can you add here? The guy was picked ahead of melo, bosh, wade and many others i dont need to mention all because he was a rare euro, a physical one withva soft touch and the willingness to bang inside. Ok, epic fail but he can say he at least outlasted pavel.

Look my pointis that these types of players get crazy hype and everyone wanted them and they all busted. There are many more examples you can take your pick from. This enes mania is nothing diffrent than what was going on with these other clowns.

Yawn....all those players were 7' 220lb twigs coming into the NBA. Of course they couldn't survive. What is Kanter again? Oh yea, 260 lbs with 5% body fat. The only one that holds any weight is Darko, who was as highly praised as Kanter and had some lofty euro accomplishments. But I can find a dozen shoot first, low efficiency point guards just like Knight that busted as well. The most recent being Johnny Flynn.

I think people are too passionate about the Kanter versus Knight subject. Not pointing out you on this. You make solid points. Whichever one we draft I am going to be okay with.

Sorry what were Pavel's accolades again? You are really reaching to laughable points now. He played 10 minutes and averaged 4 points in euro league play. He was drafted because he was 7'5". You will never see ogres like that drafted ever again. The game is just too fast with todays athletes.

Pavel was not remotely regarded as a bball player, he was just huge. Majic was well regarded, but not at the level of Darko/Kanter. Darko is the only comparison i can recall over last 10 years.
 
I think it's funny that all the Kanter haters' first line of defense is that the guy has not played in a meaningful game for a year. This is true. But what gets me is that the overall consensus #1 pick has basically been sitting around for a few months doing absolutely nothing (as evidenced by his 10% body fat) while Kanter has been working his arse off to get into shape and get better. Couple that with the hype that Kanter had coming into UK (some thought he'd be a #1 pick before the season began) and I don't see how anyone can hate the guy. I get it if you'd want Knight over him, but I just don't get the animosity towards him.
