Following Potential 2018 Draftees

We could just select Donte D and then we can merge this thread with the missing piece thread.

I don’t care how it happens but I want that firecracker on our team.

Strengths: DiVincenzo can score at will, play D, and he is very athletic and a team oriented player ... He scored 10 or more points in four of their six games during the postseason, including a team high 31 off the bench against Michigan in the title game ... DiVincenzo is a top tier athlete with a legitimate vertical to go along with his solid frame and size ... He has been known as a sharpshooter, hitting 47 percent of his field goals, 40 percent from beyond the arc and 58 percent from two-point land … Has displayed the ability to score at or away from the basket ... He did a little bit of everything for Nova this season ... He can score, rebound and assist when he wants with above average abilities to do all three ... As shown in his title game performance, he has a clutch gene to perform when the lights are brightest ... He averaged 1.1 steals per game this past season, showing his aggressiveness on defense ... Even when he was mismatched on D, he loves to battle and compete ... One big aspect NBA scouts will like that is overlooked is his great character with a team ... He was willing to adopt into a system that made the team better by coming off the bench as a sixth man and taking the role given to him, setting an example ... His peers have lauded his high basketball IQ and throughout his basketball career, he has been a winner ... Could develop into a combo or even a point, although he may always struggle to guard the lead guard position ...

He sounds like a Jazz man to me!

Is he left handed?

Does he remind you of anyone?

Upgrade of Neto?

Elie Okobo and Jalen Brunson are the lefty neto upgrade. He's not as athletic but Okobo reminds me bit of Baron Davis. Brunson projects to be an efficent backup rather quickly, he's nba ready.

Shamorie Ponds 6'1 sophomore pg from St Johns could work his way into this discussion too, he's another lefty who can really shoot it, he's slick offensively. Possible home run type of 2nd rd pick

Spencer Dinwiddie has 2 cheap years left on his deal just had a MIP caliber year and just turned 25. I'd trade the pick for him.

Didnt realize, but Isaiah Roby has declared for the draft, but didnt hire an agent or get invited to the combine (how?). He would be the 7th forward on by board ahead of Knox.

Isaiah roby won’t be in the draft this year. Look out for this kid though. I follow Nebraska basketball closely, Great kid. He will be in the draft next year and I hope the jazz get him.

One cheap year left. He’s not that great tbh... I’d rather take a flier on a guy we can have cheap for 4 years.

New DX mock draft:

http://www.espn.com/nba/insider/sto...op-picks-deandre-ayton-luka-doncic-trae-young

Here's the Jazz part:
21. Utah Jazz

Anfernee Simons
IMG Academy (HS)
Age: 18.9
SG

Height: 6-foot-4 | Weight: 183

The Jazz might look for a versatile guard who can operate in different lineups without dominating the ball alongside Donovan Mitchell. Simons is one of the least NBA-ready players in the draft, but he's intriguing because of his combination of youth, explosiveness and shot-making prowess.

He's a few years away from panning out, but at this stage of the draft, there isn't much risk, and adding a prospect with his upside would be intriguing.

Starting salary: $2,056,680

52. Jazz

Kevin Hervey | SF | Age: 21.8 | Texas Arlington

I just found out today that Kelan Martin from Butler has a 7'3 wingspan. I really didnt like him before knowing that, because he seems kind of fat and not athletic enough to be a NBA 3/tough enough to be a NBA 4, but maybe he can if he's that long.
