Why is everyone assuming we have to waive Jerebko and/or Udoh to sign Niang?

We have no roster spots and are dangerously close to the tax. I also think with a healthy Thabo that Jonas doesn't play... Niang can do a Jonas impression I suppose.

I suppose that is 15. SOB. When I did this mentally I forgot Burks. Damn he and Bradley taking up valuable roster spots. Can we trade both of them for Carroll?

It is not my money, but if it is just one year in the tax and if it is a quality move, then DAMNIT you go into the TAX! It is not illegal to go into the tax, it just costs more. If the the cost is worth it (beat the Rockets, etc., quality player/shooter), then you do it.

It's more than just money... There is a repeater tax that hinders your movement... and it's not like we are talking about a few million. You pay a tax but also miss out on a distribution which could be 7-10M+

So you don't barely go into the tax if you can help it... wait until you absolutely need too.

When you layout the minutes and consider that Favs is our primary backup center, Thabo and Crowder are likely playing 4 more than 3, and Royce can play 2-4... Jonas is pretty replaceable. Can waive him... pocket the saving and give Niang the contract... use him as a break in case of emergency option.

If Bradley was ready for spot duty you just let Udoh go... and maybe that is how they roll.
