Donovan wins ESPY

I don’t care what you see my reaction as. I never said it meant everything. It’s just odd that in that setting your forget to thank your teammates, coaches, and organization. Yes I loved the part about his sister and his mom. Yes he should thank everyone else. And yes, you should thank your teammates, coaches, and the Jazz. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a guy forget to thank his teammates and coaches. Sorry to mention something most of you seem to not like? More truth is found in unpolished moments.

lmfao, easy fortune cookie

He was probably stressed about what Jazzfanz would say about his speech, which frankly would worry anyone.
Way to prove his worries true. His next award speech I hope he doesn't combust.

This is so clear...it's all because of George and Bjelica. Donovan went hard after George, but just like DWill, he's discovered stars just don't want to play in Salt Lake. DWill was going to test free agency and likely leave because he couldnt attract other players to join him in Utah.

And for whatever reason - likely signing Favors - the Jazz didnt get Bjelica, despite Dononvan recruiting him in Europe.

So two swings and two misses for the Jazz and Donovan. Fortunately, Dononvan cant go anywhere else for 6 more years, unless he pulls a Kawhi.

BTW, the post above is pure sarcasm. I think we can excuse one brain lapse on his part. He's always been positive about Utah. Let's put off worrying unless he rejects the mega max extension in 5 years.

Remember when Hilary Swank forgot to mention her husband when she won the Oscar?

They're divorced now.....

It's over Utah.

LOL - TBH I didn't even know The ESPY's were on last night let alone DM was up for an award - who cares about this BS...
Yeah they are a made-up thing based on rabid clicking to try to keep a dying and crappy network afloat. But it is also national exposure.

I do wonder if not mentioning Utah was a thing. He usually seems pretty collected and says the right things, implies preparation. And with time to prepare for this speech and to not mention the org that got you there is...let's say interesting?

Like everyone else I love DM and what he is doing and how he has embraced the Jazz. I also find it odd that he did not say anything about the Jazz in his speech. Probably an oversight and I don't think the sky is falling but it stood out that he did not mention the his current team, coaches, or teammates.

That suit is bad as ****.

Listening to the speech again, it was really framed from the opening sentence about how he got to the draft, his doubt about not being good enough. And then he thanked the people who got him there and told kids to believe in themselves. Theres no disrespect in not mentioning post draft success with the Jazz.

And that suit...damn, this guy is a megastar and will be a fashion icon. Is he going to be in a lawsuit soon with Disney/Marvel, though?
