Is Thabo the NBA's best wing defender?

Ingles has been pretty good in the playoffs on defense.

Earlier in his career this could maybe be argued, but at this point in his career he's definitely not the best in the NBA. He was still very good on D last year but I think it was clear he'd lost a step, I think that's partly why the Jazz are going to use him exclusively at the 4 going forward and not at small forward.

Sef was our best player until he got hurt according to some advanced stats.

He also had the best season of his career this year, which is crazy given how old he is. I think he could match or beat that this year.

But I still wouldn't name him the best wing defender.

This seems to be happening a lot since Quin Snyder's been here. Look at the leaps Hayward, Gobert and Ingles made under Snyder, and George Hill, Thabo, Rubio, and Jerebko all had arguably the best year of their career playing for Snyder. I also don't think Donovan would've developed this quickly if not for Quin and the coaching staff.

Sad is a little strong of a word. I love the team we have and He overlaps a lot of what the Jazz have. I just think he has “Jazz DNA” and his contract was a steal (the last two years!)

Anyone else kinda sad the Jazz didn’t try to get Mbah a Moute? I can’t believe he signed for so little!

I think he might be one of the most underrated players in the league

I think the jazz are banking on Thabo being 100% healthy. If so, he’s better. He’s got a more well rounded offensive game to go along with his defense. I remember being shocked at just how good his offense was before the injury.
