I'm too shy to use a trough. I go out of my way at work to go to the bathroom with big dividers. All the others have tiny dividers, and some people will talk to me while pissing (??).

I think most people feel like you do. I do sometimes as well.

How about taking to people while you poop?

I don't really mind having conversations while doing my business, it makes it more casual, like it should be.

That's why bar bathrooms are better, everyone makes funny comments and there are lots of conversations when everyone is drunk. People are less shy and their worries seem to disappear.

Yep, no one gets mad that port o potties are not Men/Women at events. You have your private stall and a general waiting area and often a general hand wash area.

I am a big fan of this. Plus more open areas and public areas will lead to less problems. Bathrooms that are super private and away leave more opportunities for ****** people to bad things.

I saw a women only Porta potty a few weeks ago at a construction site it even had a padlock on it to prevent men from using it. It seemed crazy ridiculous to me

That is crazy. The women probably complained that they couldn't find one without piss everywhere. People suck at aiming and/or using the urinal that's in them for some reason.

For some reason otherwise rational and sane human beings tend to turn into mindless assholes in a public bathroom. One guy dropped a seriously terrible deuce in a bathroom at a sporting event, where there were lines for everything, but they did not have auto-flushing stalls, and he just walked out leaving the next guy to flush it. At a movie theater once a couple of kids were in adjoining stalls peeing all over the inside of the stall and telling each other what they were peeing on (the back wall, the toilet paper holder, the floor, which was pretty obvious from the puddles and flowing urine), then they just walked out of the bathroom. No one would do this **** in their own house, why do they turn into ****ing assholes just because mommy or whoever isn't around to get mad at them. Simple human decency isn't a very common trait apparently.

My wife informs me that women leave bathrooms in just as bad or even worse condition than men, so it isn't particular to any one group.

No reason there couldn't be individual stalls and even a separate area with urinals. I saw more than a few bathrooms in europe with this general layout. Washing basin in front, stalls in the back, with floor to ceiling walls.
