I hear ya. On odd numbered days I'd probably agree with you. But if Burks is there, while I like him, he too is redundant considering we have Hayward who I am convinced can not play defense as a 3. I suppose a Kanter/Fredette or Kanter/trade #12 and player for a 1st next year wouldn't be bad.

Hayward was only in his rookie season and he didn't even play much. You cannot be convinced other than that he cannot play center and he is not black. The rest will be determined by his developed but anything is possible.

If AK isn't brought back, and Memo isn't his old self if he returns at all, picking up Derrick Williams and Bismack Biyombo would work out fine (assuming Millsap and Williams are good enough to play most/all the available minutes at the 3). 144 minutes at the 3-4-5 for 5 players, with two rookies in the mix (one of them quite raw). If Bismack were only good for 20 minutes, that leaves 31 minutes per for AJ, Favors, Sap and DWill. Make due with Hayward, Raja and CJ at the 2, and the Jazz are suddenly a very deep team (if they can pick up a reliable backup PG or re-sign Earl). As I've stated before, I'd be thrilled if the Jazz acquired a late first to draft Charles Jenkins (or Reggie Jackson). Would leave the Jazz with a very nice mix of talent.

I said it before and will stand for it - Biyombo is Fes at best. What Fes loses to Biyombo on D he gains on him on O. He is 3rd string C in playoff contender. I don't mind gambling on him though.

You don't need an all-star at every position, but Hayward could be special (and I absolutely hated the Hayward pick). There are plenty of good teams who'd love to have their fifth best starter be as good as Hayward should become.

My point is that our SG/SF is the weakest part of the team even though I like Hayward a lot. Raja was horrible last year and CJ plays well in half the games.

The thing is I don't mind keeping Fes as he is now. I think he is a great backup C in this league when utilized properly. But this board is full of guys salivating on black hopping energetic dudes hence I'm OK with having black Fes-alike here in order to please them.
