Just out of curiosity, who do you admire simply because they are black? If you don't admire someone because of their blackness, why imitate it?

I'm not certain that this logic really follows, and I'm not talking about race. Any costume anyone puts on is intended to bear some type of physical likeness to the individual, person, character, or thing they are looking to portray. In most cases those portrayals are not the underlying reasons one has chosen to imitate or admire. I.e., my son was Donovan for Halloween. He did that by wearing his jersey. Donovan's jersey isn't what my son admires about Donovan, but it is a physical symbol of the person. I saw someone on social media who had gone as RBG, and did so by wearing large glasses, having similar hair, and wearing a judge's robe. I would suspect that their admiration for RBG had little to nothing to do with her glasses, her hair, or her judicial attire. So, I suppose you can make whatever argument you want about it being offensive, which isn't what I'm arguing, but the argument that you only imitate what you admire doesn't really hold any water.

I agree that you do not only imitate the specific traits you admire. However, if it is not a trait you admire, why adopt it in an offensive manner?

I dont see why anyone should take offense in the vast majority of these situations. I'd like someone who could be offended to explain why they are. Not you white boys trying to impress your classmates, not some black kid generations detached and likely doesn't give a rat's ***, not some rabble rousing talking head, but someone who actually has reason to be offended.

but then by same token nfl should have allowed the parying atfer a touch down.

i just see it as a bad business decision. some people watch sports for escapism. they want to relax sitback and enjoy. not ebing hit over the head again with a in my(and their opinion a misplaced protest)

so as much as i support collin keaps protest. i support the people tpo no longer patronize the bussines(in this case nfl)

if you someone opens up a restaurant, and every time they serve food, before they give it to you to go into this prayer bellssing the food in a religoun you ar enot part of. or starts lecturing you on politics. would you still patronize that restaurant. i would not well maybe unless it's a jewish restaurant. but then again it's not a smart business choise.
