We need to sign DWill, Boozer, Memo, Brewer and Fess and the gang is back together.
Scratch Boozer. We already have a Brewer, his name just happens to be Exum. Gobert is also everything we hoped Fes would be. I'm down with Memo and DWill. We don't currently have either of those. We need to sign DWill, Boozer, Memo, Brewer and Fess and the gang is back together.
I'm starting to wonder if they were playing Burks so they could try and get his trade value up.
So instead of just letting Burks walk like they usually let FA do, they decided to get something back for him instead. Makes perfect sense to me actually. You are thinking about it all wrong.I think you are wrong.
This is his 8th year in the league and this season he was averaging less minutes per game than any other season in his career...... While arguably playing better than any other season in his career.
So if that was the plan, they did a horrible job at it.

Brewer was much, much better than Exum. Also not really much of an NBA player.Scratch Boozer. We already have a Brewer, his name just happens to be Exum.
And CJ Miles was much better than Morris Almond.Brewer was much, much better than Exum. Also not really much of an NBA player.
Not to quibble but Donyell Marshall was a number 4 overall pick.Jeff Hornacek, Paul Millsap, Mehmet Okur, Bryon Russell, Carlos Boozer, Shandon Anderson, Howard Eisley, Gordan Giricek, Raja Bell, Donyell Marshall, Mark Eaton, David Benoit, Tyrone Corbin, Mo Williams... all 2nd-rounders or below who were at least decent for us at some point; and that's just the ones that have played for the Jazz. There are tons of examples of guys who never played for us. You're not going to get an all-star out of the 2nd round, but you can definitely get solid rotation players.
You said they were playing Burks to get his value up but they were playing him less than ever before while he was playing his best.So instead of just letting Burks walk like they usually let FA do, they decided to get something back for him instead. Makes perfect sense to me actually. You are thinking about it all wrong.
Our Gm realizes in December that, except for Ingles, there are no roster shooters .. but what did he think in the off season? Korver, who I like, is 37, goes to take the place of our 23-year-old rookie ... when we say programming ...
