Trade Jefferson and 3 for Perkins and Harden

I wouldn't. I hate Wade. And he would hate Salt Lake. I want no part of any of the "Decision" guys. I want no part of any players who have placed themselves above teams or coaches and have dictated where they "must" go/stay and/or have had a major say in a coach being hired or fired.

Couldn't agree more.

I know some people on here just really don't like Jefferson, but I think he looked a LOT better as this past season progressed. Now that he's a fit in the system (and whatever system we have going forward), I think he'll continue to produce. I know he plays questionable defense, but he scores and rebounds very well. 20/10 guys don't grow on trees. It might be his albatross of a contract that makes him undesirable, but I think he's a top player in this league and I'd like to keep him in town until his contract becomes untenable.

Well how realistic is that though? It would probably have to be:

Millsap + Hayward + future 1st round pick for Kobe/Wade.

Or

Millsap + Favors + future 1st round pick for Kobe/Wade.

But would you be willing to do either of that?

Considering Hayward is already a solid up and coming SG who is a good fit for our system, I don't think there's a need to do any of those trades....

My reply was to your statement that any trade that puts Hayward at SF for significant minutes gets a "no" from you. I was just showing how stupid the statement was.

If the Jazz could trade for Harden I would give up any player on the current team except Favors. This includes Hayward. Worrying about how much an inferior player has to play out of position because you are getting a better player at his position is just plain stupid. And FWIW I don't really buy that Hayward is out of position at SF. He may have some teams that it's a tough matchup but there would be other's where he is tough for them to guard at SF. He actually has some tough matchups at SG as well. Kobe, Wade, Harden, Ginobili, and Mathews are all players at SG that he would be hard pressed to slow down.

Well you said what if we can get Kobe/Wade? - I just showed you that we'd have to give up so much that it's not worth it. Not to mention that neither Kobe or Wade would be a good fit for the Jazz (Kobe would ask to be traded every year we don't win the Championship, Wade would never leave Miami let alone LeBron).

So don't use some "hypothetical" scenario where that's never gonna happen. Come up with some realistic examples.

As for Hayward guarding tough SG - did you even see the Lakers game where Hayward was guarding Kobe? Please go back & watch that game before making that statement.

Why would it have to be realistic? You said you would say no to ANY move where Hayward was required to play SF. I don't make trade posts. Why bother they are always unrealistic. If we could get a stud SG, Hayward's ability to play SF or not have no bearing on getting a superior player. Your statement implied that you would not trade for any SG because it would force Hayward to play SF or come off of the bench.

So you claim that because Hayward defended him well once it would no longer be a tough matchup? While I think Kobe is far from the player he once was. He is still better than Hayward and it will definitely still be a tough matchup for him. Even if he did handle himself well the one time.

Did you folks even watch the NBA playoffs?

Perkins is worthless without a HOF PF standing next to him. I'm not sure if he'll ever be the same after that knee injury.

And isn't harden a FA? When does/did his rookie contract expire?

Dude, they where ****** free agents. The point of free agency is you get to decide where you go. They aren't slaves.

Agreed. Wade wasnt even part of the decision. The decision was only LeBron...Wade is the only player out of the big 3 that I respect because LeBron is a prick and Bosh is a girl

Agreed, Perkins was aweful and I love the fact that he is going to be on the Thunder for the next 4 or 5 years at 7 or 8 million a year!! Harden isn't a RFA until next year I thought. I do like Hardens game but the Thunder won't take Millsap for Harden with Ibaka, Perkins, Collison locked up. It doesnt there big man rotation anybetter and it takes away there best bench player.

Ha ha agreed. And I still wouldnt trade Hayward, Millsap and a 1st for Wade or Kobe. Wades like 29 and Kobes what 32 or 33, I think. Id much rather hold onto the 1st and Hayward and try moving Millsap in a sign and trade for Chandler, Affalo, Gallenari, Martin, T. Evans just to name a few. But no to the wade and no to the Bryant!!!

Oh, c'mon. Wade was part of the whole dog and pony show w/ Lebron. Yes, they're FA's and can decide where to go. But those 2 (plus Bosh) turned into the biggest attention-grabbing media ho's ever (and that includes Paris Hilton). That press conference with the three was so over the top. Yes, Lebron is the biggest *&^%$ but Wade ain't far behind. The last game was comical. Everytime Wade would shoot - and miss - he'd look over to the refs for a call. But I guess he was justified. After all, he's been getting phantom calls his whole career up to this point.

Except not if anything Wade was a genius in the move. He knew he would make the finals with Bosh and LeBron. Then he knew he could use this opportunity to show the world, he is a better player than LeBron while everyone thought the opposite. Now the jokes on LeBron not Wade.
