Not saying we should but would you trade Alec Burks for...

I dont think Brooklyn wants Burks but they have a use for Carroll.
I don’t think they really want Carroll either to be honest. I suggested a Carroll, Faried & Burks trade between Utah, Denver and Brooklyn. Nuggets and Nets get guys they could potentially use and save about $2 million each. Jazz give up a couple of 2nd round picks and get a guy they can really use.

Yeah it’s a weird dance with that. If we can agree to a contract quickly we can cut some of the affect there but I don’t see it happening.

Honestly I’m not a huge Gordon or Parker guy. Would love to have one of them on a decent contract but neither guy has proven to materially help a team win... I get the appeal though.
If Snyder can make Rubio an average offensive scorer imagine what he can do for Aaron Gordon.

I honestly wonder if Burks will be a different player next season. He’ll be in a contract year, and almost two years removed from injury. I feel like we’re just barely seeing a 100% Derrick Favors again.

I think AB is healthy and I don't get the sense this is a motivation thing. To his credit you can see him trying to do what he needs to... he is making adjustments, but those adjustments just don't fit the player.

I'm happy to just keep the guy. He's been a good soldier... is a good dude and is trying. I think he doesn't play off his normal instincts because he is thinking too much. If he can figure things out between the ears I think he'd actually be pretty good in the offense.

I guess... I just think Gordon is a good defender with a better reputation than actual production. Snyder's magic doesn't work on everyone.

I'd like to have him, but it's just adding up the cost of acquisition and potentially overpaying him. I think the way to get him is have Orlando re-sign him and then they trade him mid-season next year when they realize they still suck and need to change. Think he might cost less in a trade at that point. Kinda like they did with Tobias Harris (different management), similar to Blake Griffin this year... or Andrew Wiggins this off season (I think he gets moved to help with flexibility going forward).

I'd check in with Orlando and see what their thoughts are, but not going to try and bowl them over with an awesome offer.

Burks has been a solid teammate and played well when given the chance. I think he should be traded more for him than for the Jazz. Some guys just need a fresh start and he seems to have always worked hard, done what was asked without complaint, and overcome injuries. This should have been his year to get minutes and points again, especially after Hood trade, but didn’t work out that way. I’d trade him for anything that would give him a shot and either improve or not hamstring the Jazz long term

10 points in 2 minutes on 4 for 4 shooting and giving the Jazz a final run, in what was supposed to be garbage time--Alec Burks deserves actual minutes in these playoffs. It seems like Royce O'Neale was overwhelmed by the moment (1 point; 3 fouls; 20 min), but Alec clearly was not. And it wasn't as if Alec was playing OKC's scrubs--Westbrook and Adams were on the floor. For a Jazz team that often struggles to score, especially when it goes to the bench, Alec has proven that he can create offense and get buckets. Giving him minutes could be a key to winning this series.

You saw how quickly Paul George caught fire, and how impossible that situation becomes. I worry that putting AB on the court is like throwing gasoline out on the court while the Thunder are trying to get him going.

Sure, Royce struggled with PG last game, but there isn't a player in the league that wouldn't struggle with him once he's going like that. I think the trick is making sure he can't get to that level in the first place, and that requires not playing defensive (and offensive, frankly) Russian Roulette hoping for an offensive spark.

Pass on Gallo. Only Clippers guy I’d take is Beverley.

Gallo a better scorer, but he doesn’t give you anything at the four position that’s really “four” (no rebounding or defense). He also probably plays 41 games or less.
Lol. I totally want Gallo now. Hats off to Wes. Unfortunately, the reason I was Gallo is also the reason he’s probably unattainable.

47.3% from deep on 5.3 attempts. 92.4% FT. His previous years’ FT has been 93.1%, 90.2%, 86.8%, and 89.5%.

FML.

Too bad we didn’t do Burks and Jerebko for him.

That said, I do like Crowder and question just how much he or Gallo could play at the 3.

Yep. Always gotta buy low.

Anyone fit that mold now?
That’s attainable? Jabari. Not saying he’s the same but he’s a buy low with possible high reward. Niko, too, if NOP continue to suck.

This isn’t buying low per se but Taurean Prince interests me a lot. That said, he’s prob not quite what we need.

Shoulda bought low.

Funny how I don’t see our resident douchenozzle saying he’d consider it like he claimed.

Just saying.

PGAB

Not saying PGAB is the dn by the way. Someone else. I just signed off as him because I was bragging like he does.
