What's new

One day left

Does anyone really think we'll take Kanter over Knight? I see it constantly talked about, but this org. seems to do the Knight type thing ..

Sadly, yes. This organization has a history of taking slow, tall, white guys.

For the 20th time it is Kanter. At this point KOC isn't hitting pop flies to advance runners -- he's swinging for the fences.

I think its apparant the jazz are not high on kanter. Tons of posters here are, but i hope that when knight is selected he is embraced as a jazzman and not booed like the classless fans we can be. So embarassed that people were booing hayward. Not cool.

Except Kanter isn't slow. He is actually pretty quick and athletic. And what does skin color have to do with anything? Didn't Dallas just win the NBA Championship with a tall, athletic, white foreigner as their best player or am I on drugs?

Kanter is not swinging for the fences, it like throwing a hailmary.

However you view it. I think Kevin knows the only way he builds a contender is through the draft. We just landed the 3rd pick and it's doubtful we'llever have that kind of luck again. If he believes Knight to have Deron caliber potential then obviously he would take him, but I have a hard time thinking he'd settle for Harris caliber if he feels that's the safe pick. I know people are looking at our cautious history but this is a completely different playing field. If what's at stake is a solid PG, I think he's going for the gamble.

I'm hoping for a Knight/T. Thompson duo. I like Kanter too, and if we do grab him I'll be excited, but if we do decide to grab a big and a small, I think I like Knight/Thompson more than Kanter/Fredette.

I could be swayed either way, I definitely see the possibilities with Kanter, but as of now I am a Knight guy.

I agree. Jazz fans looked really foolish booing the Hayward pick. I hope people have learned their lesson. Unfortunately, too many Jazz fans take any slight by a former Jazz player as a personal attack.

I never understand why many Jazz fans feel the need to boo former players and even worse a player just picked by the team. Utah has it hard enough attracting players so the booing just adds fuel to the perception that Utah is a peculiar place. Even if you don't agree with the pick, don't you want the player to be good? Or is it more important to be able to call out KOC for making a dumb pick?

In the end I know it can be frustrating but the "experts" have more information than we do when they make the call. Even with more information they still get it wrong however I rather wait and see how the pick does before going crazy. I be happy with Irving, Dwill, Kanter at two. I will be ok with Knight, V, Vesely at 3 but would rather move down. At 12, BPA - will be happy with Burks, Singleton, Jimmer, Thompson. I would be ok with Brooks, Biyombo, or Monty.

We are starting in on the 2012 draft right after this years. The Jazz would have 11 (GS) and 12 (Us) if there is no season, and Stern keeps the order the same (with a lottery redraw). We will need your insight on Terrence Jones, Marquis Teague, Michael Gilchrist, and Anthony Davis.

Let me be the first to say that I hope the Jazz take Micheal Gilchrist.
