I haven't watched much college basketball lately, but am a huge jazz fan and watch the youtube videos of all the prospects. From my viewpoint, there is no way this guy Derrick Williams isn't taken #1 or #2.

BTW I love players like Jimmer but I don't think he'll be around at #12. Maybe so and he'll turn out like Tyler Hansbrough, was a top NCAA player but for some reason wasn't drafted as high as he should have. I was like ???? Like I said I don't watch much TV but am a player myself and know a great player when I see one.

Could someone explain to me the situation with Okur & Kirlelinko? I don't live in Utah so I never hear anything about the Jazz. Also why is everyone counting Devin Harris out? I thought he was solid.

Welcome!

Williams - I agree, I just can't see him falling to #3. But I will be ecstatic if he does.

Jimmer - I think there's a better than even chance that he's there at #12. Whether the Jazz pick him depends in my opinion on who else falls. I think Burks, Biyombo, Valenciunas, etc., could get the nod ahead of the Jimmer.

Okur - his injury was devastating. Not many players can come back after something like that. But he's making a go of it, and we all respect him for that. But the general consensus is to not expect anything more from him. If he can make a contribution, then it's a bonus. Sad, he's one of my favorite individuals on the Jazz team.

Kirilenko - He's a free agent. May or may not be with the Jazz next year. I think a lot of us got fed up with him and wouldn't be too sad to see him go. He said that he would give the Jazz a home-town discount, though, so we'll see what that means. If it's enough of a discount I think he'll be back.

Harris - I'm with you on that one. I don't understand why everyone is counting him out. I thought he was put into a very difficult situation--having to run point guard in a fairly complicated offense, with no preparation at all, and with a team in disarray. I thought he did a fine job considering the circumstances and I'm excited to see what he can do for us next year.

I'm with you on the Devin Harris issue. Although we all know he's nowhere near the same caliber player as Dwill, he's still a good PG. They way people talk about him on this board and wanting to get rid of him...you'd think he was Jason Hart.

After watching brick after brick after brick from Raja Bell and CJ Miles... Jimmer seems like a gift from heaven. Play him at the 2 guard I say like a Derrick Fischer.

My dad had conferences in Salt Lake and he brought me home a Jazz tshirt when I was only 4 or so... then all those playoff appearances with Stockon to Malone really capped it off.

The Mavs were the laughing stock of the league back then! The rockets with Hakeem Olajuwon were cool though. Thanks for asking, my dad passed away a couple years ago but I have many fond memories of us pulling for the Jazz every year during playoff time.

Welcome!

I understand how you feel of not having anybody to talk regarding Jazz.

I'm all with you on Devin Harris. I think he is and he will be solid.
If there's anything against him is his contract. But I'm praying he'll show the NBA esp. the Jazz that he's worth it. Here's to a second wind .. a second breakout season (after his All Star season).

Good to have you hear....

I have a question. How good a pro do you think Hamilton will be? For what ever reason I didn't see any Texas games. Is he as good a shooter as I've heard?

Many people on jazzfanz compare him to Cj. Do you think that's a fair comparison?
