Is he just going to come back after the all-star break, take six weeks to get back into playing as he had been, be hot and cold (more this) in the playoffs, and then we’ll all be saying, “Next year is gonna be his year!” for like the fifth time in his career?
That’s where it feels like we’re headed. Yet again.
It's also crazy to me that you (edit: not you personally, but somebody in general) can watch our current play and not notice the horrific bench lineups that are hemorrhaging points and look totally disorganized out there. This team badly needs Dante and Thabo back to get that unit back to a positive instead of one that we just pray can hold on for a couple minutes.Just being brutally honest. You haven't looked at the strength of schedule over the last 12 games, have you?

Definitely playing our best basketball of the year right now.Cant you point to a different 10 games or so stretch of this season where we have played better basketball?

Speaking of having zero awareness, he actually stepped on Favors foot while playing defence.Exum being a spazz is probably my bigger issue here. Layups he goes flailing about and falling down all the time. In this case, he lands on some dude’s foot. There’s zero awareness on multiple levels on his part.
Heck with all the injuries, for all practical purposes, he's a second year player with the enormous upside of a 19 year old.

Lonzo Ball will be out 3-6 weeks. I'm not sure how severe Exums is but it's not a stretch to say his time out is reasonable.
Olidipo just blew up his knee by trying to play when he was still sore, and no doubt there were a bunch of dumbasses in Indiana bitching and moaning about him not being able to play sooner.
Also, if Exum did suffer another serious injury, the crybabies on this board would be the first to point fingers and blame the medical staff for not handling the situation more carefully.
With Exum suffering 2 injuries that kept him out long term, it seems kind of obvious that Utah should err on the side of caution to prevent another catastrophe. Thank God none of the idiots on this board have any influence on such important decisions.
I don't know why anyone would want Dante to rush back.Anyone who disagrees with things can gtfo
a.But he's the same age as Grayson and between the two who do you think has more "potential"?
b.So, what makes you think Dante isnt getting stronger?? Have you never seen him defend a big in the post? Box out? Set picks?
This is the biggest bull#### I've ever seen.a. I think right now Grayson has more potential than Exum. He is more athletic, weighs more , seems stronger, has a less herky jerky jump shop and can make offensive plays. He is obviously worse at defense right now than Exum and his actually shooting percentage has been poor but he has mostly been played in garbage time.... Joe Ingles also struggles with his shot when he first started with us. Allen is still a rookie and hasn't had 4 year worth of Jazz coaching. Then look at current pay vs potential growth.. Exum's performance doesn't really match his salary.
b. Look at the twigs he has for legs.
More bull####. They have beaten 1 good team in DenverI don't know why anyone would want Dante to rush back.
Maybe they are tired of all the winning?

I agree with not rushing people back, but they sure seemed not very cautious when favors hobbled around on old man knees 2 years ago. Where was the caution then? Or did they learn their lesson? The Jazz seem to be pretty cautious with all injuries... graysons ankle was a longer absence than I would have thought.
It is one of the injuries that is easy to aggravate... if he needed to I’m guessing he’d play. No need to rush him back... Ricky is back DM is healthy and Royce has played well. I wish Ingles would sit a couple games... hopefully over the AS break he gets a little juice back.
It's CJ Miles, aka "the next Jordan", syndrome of JF. People get inordinately high on a borderline player who has yet to tap their vast "potential", and they are just that one lucky break or big game away from earning their rightful spot as the mythical GOAT-to-be.Is he just going to come back after the all-star break, take six weeks to get back into playing as he had been, be hot and cold (more this) in the playoffs, and then we’ll all be saying, “Next year is gonna be his year!” for like the fifth time in his career?

It cost Boston 30 million plusOne would hope 11m a year buys you a rotation level player.
