What's new

Netflix recs?

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the show, so maybe I’ll have to look into the books.

I'm reading the 8th book in the series at the moment, so far they are running at about 2 books per TV series, I'm wondering what they are going to do with the casting in the next series, it takes place about ten years later, I wonder if Uthred is going to be cast as an older actor and his son Uthred, who joins his father in his warband will be played by Alexander Dreymon.

Oh it's definitely not a romance, not in the conventional sense anyway. It's more of a stalker thriller, with slightly satirical overtones. The male character is a creep, but the show makes him really compelling in spite of that.

The book is very good as well. I've been a bit disturbed that I'm slightly attracted to Joe, the stalker. It makes me glad I've quit dating since apparently my taste is questionable.

The book sequel "Hidden Bodies" is what they will base Season 2 on, and I did not like the book anywhere near as much as the first one. But I'll watch anyway.

It is violent and all the things but The Punisher is great. The chose the perfect actor for the part.

Warning, not for kids and those uncomfortable with blood and guts. But it's The Punisher, that should be a given.

Agreed. It's been suprisingly pretty good the first few. I probably wouldnt have given it a shot without a recommendation.

I didn't care for Jon Bernthal in that ****** zombie show but he's perfect for the character in this. Much better acting/directing too.

He is in the second season of Daredevil as well. I really like the dynamic that exists between the two. They go at it pretty hard a couple times.

I'm probably the last person in the country to watch The Office, but I just finished going through the whole show on Netflix. Last episode made me tear up a bit.

great sports doco, grew up watching him race, was watching live on that fateful day in Sam Marino, fabulous documentary with some amazing footage. Was actually in Europe later that year and went to Monza, all over Milan the Senna flags and tributes were everywhere.

One of the best shows of all time (I watched through the whole thing for a second time recently). And ya, it got me at the end too

I don't know if I can watch season 2. 1 ended perfectly, as many shows/books should but don't (gotta milk the cash cows). True closure and it was fantastic. It wasn't the greatest show of all time by any means but it never seemed to get slow, and I get bored pretty easily. I was entertained from start to finish and the teasers at the end were interesting enough.

Not the last. Maybe I'll finally give it a shot.
It's so good.
And binging half hour sitcoms is the best TV watching you can do imo. Super short (like 22 minutes per episode with it 6 the Chrissie like commercials) and not heavy at all so there is no real thinking necessary. Just a few good laughs and then on with your day

The office really jumped the shark for me after season 3 or 4. Forget which. Became so cheesy/corny/try way too hard to be cutesy funny.

Huh. I loved every minute. Definitely got worse after the loss of the goat Michael Scott but I even loved those seasons too

Just finished a rewatch of it myself. It's so good I damn near started it over again as soon as it was over.

Yep. Considering starting it all over again as I have a snow day tomorrow.

Episode 5 is the best episode imo too fwiw.
