2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

I’ve gone to games for 20 years and never heard anything racist, it’s an excuse like Max Hall saying beer was poured on his family.
I also have never heard anything racist at a jazz game.
I have been to a fair amount of Utah football games though and have seen beer spilled on people. I might even have done some spilling myself. When you get **** faced **** happens.

... They must see something in him...

Here's a preview of what we'll be seeing from Exum tonight:

I'll take a year of Exum and rolling the dice anyday. Second rounders are a dime a dozen; for every Millsap, you get 15 Oliver Hanlan's.
What I mean overall, is would having Exum be the make-or-break on a Conley deal? If you really want Conley, Exum is a much smaller issue. I don't think having Exum gets us closer to anything. If you believe Conley gets you closer to something, then Exum should be expendable.

If the deal included Rubio, Neto and Exum, we have no PGs aside from DM if Conely got hurt. Exum still has potential as well, FWIW.

Lets say the Cavs call you and tell you... "Hey... Love is available... give us your best offer?"

What would your offer be? would you make an offer at all? Lets say that they guarantee you that he will be ready to play by the end of the month.

They can have Favors and Thabo..

They already offered too much for Conley. Since Conley apparently doesn't want to play here, withdraw the offer, depress his trade value and Conley can go enjoy Detroit.

Given the way the team played with DM handling the ball, I'm not sure why Conley should be the guy to get at the trade deadline. I'm much, much more interested in getting Mirotic.

Person of a color, generally the preferred term for African Americans, Hispanic and Latinos/latinas, native Americans, etc
Interesting so he doesn't think that there is any worse place for a Mexican or Pacific islander than Utah? That's weird.

Get what you're saying, but then it comes down to overpaying IMO. At some point, you simply say 'That's all that we have to offer, take it or leave it.' and play the game. I think giving up $30M in salary cap space for MEM next year and a first rounder while taking back a high contract is more than fair.

If they want Exum that bad, fine, but give us back Dillon Brooks.

There are probably more people here who would take Exum over Jabari. SMH

I can count on one hand the total of really good games Exum has played. Meanwhile Jabari proves he is at least an offensive force everytime he steps on the floor.

I dont get it. Is that homerism at its best? Would anyone here even think anything of Exum if he wasnt on the Jazz?

Im so tired of talking about Exum's "potential"

Windhorst wasn’t even speculating, just said it as fact. Ouch. Apparently wants to go to the Eastern Conference.

Oof, I love player empowerment. But apparently the Utah stigma has a long way to go.

This is a left field type move which makes all 3 teams better:
Heat get Biyombo, Lamb and a 1st from Utah (maybe more if we must)
Hornets get Favors and Waiters
Jazz get Winslow and Olynyk

Love the idea of trading for Winslow. Lots of talent, young (almost 23), under contract for 3 more years (with team option in final year). I am pro any high upside player who can grow with the core.
