How much would you offer Malcolm Brogdon this summer?

the bucks will be an interesting team to watch this off season. I am pretty sure middleton gets a max offer from the bucks. That leaves the bucks to decided between Bledsoe and Brogdon. I dont think they can afford both. Both players are looking at 20 mill plus contracts. Now they have to decide on the value of Mirotic also. If you make a big offer (not a max) to brogdon early it will be tough for the Bucks to decide quickly on who they want more.

If i had my choice i would probably prefer to offer Harris quickly and go from there

Can't go after a rfa unless it's in a sign and trade. Not that they can't, but they shouldn't, especially if it's likely they just get matched. That's Rozier and Brogdon mostly. Offer Harris and Middleton the max with an opportunity to be a larger part of the offense. If that doesn't work, go after Mirotic. Maybe they would consider Kemba Walker as well, but would he consider Utah?

After his time in Charlotte you'd think Kemba would have winning and playing in the playoffs each year at the top of his priority list. I guess that gives us a chance if he does decide to leave.

I agree, sgjazzfan. Boston and Milwaukee would match any offers and then trade those players to a different team if they had to. Jazz won't be going after any RFA's. They'll have conversations with Harris and Middleton for sure. I doubt they'd want Niko for anything above the MLE, because clearing cap space can be too damaging. You lose those players, lose the full MLE and can't go over to sign additional bodies. I'm still predicting free agency will be a bust. Favors will return. I once said Rubio too, but I think he leaves now. The Memphis fiasco has left a bitter taste in his mouth (or maybe it's the hair gel running off his greasy manbun).

Jazz will bring back Favs in order to have an expiring contract to offer at the deadline. They'll look for another player with the MLE and perhaps bring back Udoh. I think they could even trade out of the draft - if someone wants their pick. Just a horrible set of prospects past the top tier.

If I was going to offer Brogdan max money I wouldn't be giving him 4 years, more like 3 and get a team option on that 3rd year or just a straight up 2 year deal. I'm not convinced he's a max money guy and I'd rather trade for Aaron Gordon's frontloaded contract than pay Brogdan max money I think.

He plays with the Greek freak. He has it easy. He's always open for layups, shots ect cause the Greek freak. The people say he should get the max lol wtf smh.

I'd still target Harris instead of Brogdon. Harris has already proven himself as a reliable experienced player and I'm still not buying Brogdon at all. Harris can help us more, that is if we can get him in the summer.

Is Harris still obtainable tho ?

I think Tobias re-signing with Philly is more likely than Butler re-signing with Philly so I'm assuming he's off the table.

This doesn't sound like a guy who is going to leave in a few months. I know it's early, but I'm fairly certain he's staying.

"It was funny ... after the game, somebody texted me and sent me a video of me smiling after a play," he said. "They wrote, 'This is literally the first time I've ever seen you actually smile in a game.' And I was like, 'You ain't lyin.'

"It was cool to see that and just have fun out there. I really had a lot of fun tonight."

No. Harris isn't obtainable. He's staying in Philly. Why would he come here when he can play with Embiid/Simmons/Butler in a weaker eastern conference and be in Finals contention every year?

Middleton is not obtainable either. He'll be #1 on the Bucks priority list. And again, its a situation where you have to ask why would he leave his current situation to come here. Milwaukee is probably going to the eastern conference finals this year. Maybe the Finals. He's going to leave? Not a chance.

The only max-ish players we have a chance at imo are...

Kemba Walker: If the Hornets fall apart again and he looks at other options. It's a longshot he would choose us over somewhere else. But maybe DL and DM can sell a good pitch.

Malcolm Brogdon: If we overpay we might get it done. The Bucks are going to be in a rough cap situation

Terry Rozier: Again, if we overpay we might get it done. The Celtics are going to be focused on adding a star like AD and retaining Kyrie. I don't think that they match a large offer for Terry.

He is the most realistic of this group.
Here is our Rozier competition (teams with more than the MLE to spend this summer):

Knicks - NOPE
Clippers - MAYBE
Nets - NOPE
Hawks - NOPE
Mavs - NOPE
Pacers - NOPE
Lakers - MAYBE
Kings - NOPE
Suns - INTERESTED
Bulls - MAYBE

Magic - NOPE
Pelicans - NOPE
Celtics - if Irving leaves, then Rozier stays

If we wanted Rozier, it comes down to Boston, Phoenix, Chicago, the LA teams (should they strike out on bigger targets), and us.

I really think the Jazz need to look for a bigger star, as in size. Mitchell is tiny and inefficient. Rudy is huge and offensively challenged. We should be looking at someone 6'9 or bigger. Now that Griffin can shoot threes, I think the Jazz should try to find a way to get someone like that. They need to be able to play bully ball and shoot. Whoever they target, no one is off limit but Mitchell/Rudy. Joe Ingles is a nice piece, but certainly not untradeable. He has the ability to really disappear (see houston series as example). Brogdon would be fine though at under 20m, as he has consistently shown the ability to shoot and create. I'd much rather see him shooting the shots Ricky/Oneale/Crowder get.

I really like Brogdon. He’s gotten pretty damn good at getting to the rim with no-flash, straight line drives. Simple move, and go. Shades of Stockton, actually. Good 3-pt shooter.

I’m surprised to hear people say he’s clearly a max player, though.

I’m wicked curious to see what he gets paid. Would love to have him.
