At Least the JVs Won

i think haas got tossed for a flagrant 2 or double technical, hence the low minutes. great game from grayson, just needs to hit those FTs; he's been off from the line the last couple games although his FG/3 pt accuracy have both gone up. really bad foul calls by refs against the stars in the 2nd half. and last play of game is crazy that they overturned the foul call that would've given tyler a chance at 3 FTs to go ahead.

Stars blow an 18 point half time lead and lose in OT. Cavanaugh leading scorer and 14 boards, Allen 20 points and Bradley DNP. Bench was the goat tonight.

Stars pull one out tonight. Naz with 26 and Cousins 27. Cavanaugh had a double double and lead the team in rebounding and tied in assists with Cousins. I think Allen (1-5 shooting) got ejected along with an Iowa player. Bradley looked pitiful other than he blocked a shot. Stars still have a shot at the playoffs.

Their Deonte was a college teammate on Naz and Niang. Bradley was the definition of worthless tonight. He got 4 rebounds and no blocks for the game. Herpes got 4 rebounds and a block in 6 minutes. Stars season is over.

Good to see. I think he possesses a lot of talent he just needs some time. That's not me labeling him an all-star but I think he has what it takes to be a role guy.

they should've had him play with the stars alot more early in the year rather than him racking up DNPs or 3-5 min of garbage time. i think he'd be ready to help some in the playoffs if so, but the last 5-7 games with the stars, you can clearly see him getting more comfortable. even the few minutes he played against the knicks a few games ago, you could see him looking more sure of himself again.

I follow the Stars pretty well and the previous game he was 1-5.

It's crazy Allen exploded. He was just feeling it. And a few of his shots in the paint were super-contested and impressive.

We should have won this game. Refs were so, so, so bad. They were blind.

It's also nice seeing Bradley scoring so soon after his surgery. Allen had some really nice passes to Bradley.

I'm glad someone sees some redeeming quality in Bradley. I think he makes Tibor Pleiss look like the best player ever. Allen played like a boss last night. Hopefully he can help us in the playoffs.

he got kicked out after 14 min and was 1-5 up until that point, so take his stat line in that game with a grain of salt/asterik.

allen has overall played very well with the stars save for 2 or 3 games including the game he was ejected and one game in december where he sprained his ankle (he was actually playing well in that game before getting injured). he just needs time on the nba floor to get comfortable but quin has had a very short leash with him (understandably so sometimes given the defensive lapses). alot of the actions they run for him on the stars that you see in that video would open up the game so much for screen and rolls like he had with bradley with a couple good assists, open 3's, or drives to the basket for him or don. royce is adequate as a 3 and D but only when he is absolutely wide open and standstill rather than off movement or off the dribble. I think he's more suited to play the 3 or small ball 4 rather than backup 2. grayson is alot more offensively diverse and i'd like to see them play together w/ don/grayson alternating at PG/SG with royce at the 3 or going semi-small ball with don/grayson/royce/joe. And you're right, bradley looks like he may have the makings of a solid screen and roll big. My only complaint is that he sometimes plays soft on the defensive glass and lets himself get bodied/beat for rebounds in his area that he should be snagging.

Bradley is a good finisher. He turned 21 in January so he's still young. But one thing that's weird is how wretched he's been at the FT line this season. He has regressed there.

Grayson looks good and comfortable. I expect a different player in year two. He is so confident and decisive in those highlights... still looks really uncomfortable when in the big leagues. He’s fine.

Bradley is a pile of meh... sunk cost but I have zero hope he becomes anything more than a bad/average backup center.

The Jazz are committed to Bradley. He needs to work all summer on getting stronger and free throws. Crap Herpes was a 73% free throw shooter for the Stars. No reason Bradley can't do that.

Glad to see other people actually follow some of the Stars games (still wish they'd play in Orem or St. George). I go to 2-4 games a season & watch the condensed games.

It's a travesty the G League playoffs isn't a best of 3 series for everything. I'd love to see a G League playoff game.

Not impressed with Bradley, he's probably where he belongs in the G League or as a fringe NBA center. Grayson Allen is lighting it up which is good to see, hopefully that gets him more confidence.

Top 10 scorers in the GLeague. How many even sniff significant mins in the NBA?
# Player
1 Jordan McRae
2 Christian Wood
3 Chris Boucher
4 Johnathan Motley
5 Yante Maten
6 Jordan Loyd
7 Darius Johnson-Odom
8 Marcus Thornton
9 PJ Dozier
10 Kalin Lucas

I don't think a good game here and there is worthy of stopping the presses. Maybe if one of them dominates for a solid month or two.

At least 5/10 of those would/could probably get 5-15 minutes of playing time depending on situation/team. Some of those guys are two way players anyway.

There are four teams left in the GLeague playoffs: Lakeland, Long Island, Rio Grande Valley and Santa Cruz. The Stars have wins over all four this season. I guess that makes the Stars the best surfers in South Dakota.
