He took a long term team friendly contract once before. I think he would take a four year averaging 14 million over 2 years at 19 million somewhere else to stay with the Jazz. It certainly is not out of the question. Is someone going to pay Favors 20 million over 4 years?

I think Favors is pretty much a Jazz man until he retires assuming he so chose. Provided Utah doesn't low-ball him or disrespect him as a man, I'd be okay with that. He takes care of business and gives Utah so many options game wise. Not to mention he's also won more than a few games for us. Statue this man.

so what did you expect him to say with a bunch of reporters in his face? in this PC society and league you really expected him to say "fluck the jazz not playing there " ??? And he avoided saying "I'd play in Utah". He just said that he'd play anywhere. That's a stock PC answer to me.

The reasons Stockton and Malone got statues are obvious and no one since them has deserved one or even came close.

Donovan and Rudy might get there some day but even they are unlikely. I hope they get to that legendary level obviously.

I figured as much, but people get pretty carried away. Just wanted to get it out there lol...

I think Gobert and Mitchell could get statues down the road. Gobert should get another DPOY and All NBA this year. Mitchell has a bright future with accolades already.
