Uta vs. Hou: Game 2 off/def strategy change up?

I just don't understand why the Jazz are playing like they have never seen a basketball before. Dejected and scared doee not win games. Clearly no adjustments were made between game 1 and game 2.
Because there are no adjustments to be made. The Jazz are two tiers down from the W's and Rockets. Utah is playing 80's basketball in an era when even centers can shoot 3's. When Hayward left, Dennis said he and Quin doubled down on defense. What that really meant is they went out and signed whatever scrubs they could who would take $5M or less. We've seen that experiment FAIL miserably. Even the Lakers with Lebron couldn't make it work.

At least, as yamers said, there can be no excuses for Dennis. I'd put everyone on the trading block - except Donovan - after this Houston debacle. Rudy can only be effective if Utah's perimeter defense can at least give some resistance. Bricky was once considered a decent defender. Not sure when he lost two steps. And Donovan doesn't escape criticism, either. Can he be an effective 2 at his size on defense? That was one of the reasons he slid to #13. I think Utah needs to get a big SG and move Mitchell to PG. Jazz also need a shooter at the 4. It's time for Lindsey to make changes.

Houston is the only team we clearly don't match up well against. I was afraid of this, hopefully the Jazz put up a decent fight at home and not fold pathetically.

Then you’re either stupid or ignorant.

Golden state would be kicking our *** as would Portland. OKC would beat us this year. Not to mention the top EC teams.

This has much more to do with us doing nothing last summer than with Houston being a bad matchup. We should’ve known that we had to upgrade last summer. The don’t know why we didn’t.

DM has been complete trash this series. Playing like Oct:Nov Donovan.

To me, and this isn't a knock on him, but sometimes he let's things get in his head. Big games, games on National TV, game winners.

Same with Rudy.

They're learning.

He is their defensive focal point. They give others wide open shots and Mitchell nothing easy. He has struggled, but it's understandable.

Harden has been the Jazz' defensive focal point and he's completely dismantled the Jazz, it's a shame Donovan hasn't even shown a glimpse of doing that yet but I still have hope he'll figure it out for at least one game before the series ends.
