2nd Jazz win! - Jazz at Rockets: 6pm MT

2/22 on a 1+1 for Rubio.

Who says no?

We should say hell no to that deal. Giving Rubio that much more than the full MLE (-$9 million) is like giving Favors $16.9 million last summer. It's just bad business to give a player that much more than any other team would give him in the open market. I'm all for appreciating our players, but if the full MLE is Rubio's top market (which I believe is the case maybe less), then you give Rubio $9 at the most. The difference between $11 and $9 isn't a ton, but it's more than what Niang is scheduled to make next year. We need everything we can get to find another solid contributor.

And I don't understand people bagging on Rudy this game. He was great getting to the spots on the defensive end when Fave was always late to the Harden penetration. Fave could be better on offense but they weren't going small like last game.

The poor showing of the first 2 games is what killed the Jazz the most. This is the thing with the Jazz, they always start off slow. For instance, the beginning of the season and the playoffs. A good season nonetheless, but somewhat disappointing.

Oh hey, anyone going to the airport tonight???? I went last year and it was awesome.

Also, it looked like DM was in tears as he walked into the tunnel. You guys see that?

Me but I'm just so over the hard ceiling on this team right now that I'm probably not in the best frame of mind to be deciding these kinds of things. Just want a big shake up.

I’m not recommending it either necessarily...

Well, I sort of like how we ended the season. Last season ended proudly for the guys. I think they feel disappointed. Namely Donovan and Rudy, and so I’d guess they work their asses off like they never have before. That, and some roster upgrades and I’m hopeful we could hit 55 wins next year.

I'll be there. Meet me on the 9th green at 9. Wear something nice.

Great season guys. We will only get better. It will be a huge off season with many roster changes. Enjoyed every moment with you fellow Utah fans. Go jazz Go! We will comeback stronger to smack these flopper Rockets.

Let's say we re-sign Rubio for $9 but we also make the tough decision to send Neto packing. Rubio at $9 is less than what Thabo, Udoh, and Neto combined to make this last season. If we commit to Rubio being our backup PG, then I think it's great business.

If we pay Rubio a dime over $9 million to be our starter next year, I think it's bad business.

The moment was too big for Gobert and Mitchell tonight.

I wouldn't go that far. I just think they played poorly. They are the two guys Houston keyed on. #1 - Donovan can't drive. #2 - Gobert can't get easy dunks. D'Antoni did a brilliant job making us find other offense.

Mike Smith kinda said what I said, the rockets stripped the ball over and over, it's a strength thing, this series was lost in the weight room

I wish we would have just gotten swept.

I can already hear DL this summer... "We looked at hard at our options during the draft and free agency. We looked hard into trade possibilities. We tried a few things that didn't pan out. But look we feel good about bringing all of our guys back, Ricky and Derrick especially. We feel like staying the course with this group is the right way to go because of how well we performed in the playoffs. We beat Houston in game 4. We were right there with them in games 3 and 5. If a couple of things bounce our way we could have won that series. We feel like we're good enough to compete with anyone. Chemistry is important. We like our guys and they like each other. We feel like we can get better through internal growth. We're young. We're excited to see what this group can do next year."

UGGGGHHHH **** **** ****

and right on cue...

I say no. Give me a PG who can shoot the 3 and not air ball a wide open corner 3. Rubio has heart, but he can't coexist with Gobert. Jazz need 4 starters with range..

Come on, the guy had just made a couple of tough shots to get us back in the game. And who else were you hoping was going to shoot it there?

Trade Dante, give Rubio that same contract. Easy.
