What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

Like outside of the health concerns I have on Neto, I think Neto is a much better PG than Rozier. And even with Exum's health concerns and severe shooting limitations, I think he's a better PG than Rozier.
The Rozier hate is so dumb. So biased. Sure, Neto is a better PG than a guy who was pivotal in leading his team to the East Finals a year ago. Lol so dumb.

All the young emerging stars in Boston struggled this year. Tatum disappointed. Brown didn't improve as much as expected. Rozier disappointed.

Why? Do all these guys suck? Are all bi-annual (what a joke that is) to mid-level type guys?

Kyrie Irving is not a leader. He is selfish and negative. Rozier is an "all heart" type guy who got wronged by an uneven, selfish season. We would be lucky to have him at some discounted rate. Unfortunately, Kyrie will leave, Rozier will stay on a cheap deal and we will regret not trying to get him here.

Ask Donovan about Rozier. Would he want him? I would trust his judgment over you haters.

That’s junk. A team can terminate your contract by paying you the balance (cool). You can quit and still get paid out? That’s ridiculous. Teams should be having retirement clauses in contracts, if thats the case.
I mean, this never happens. They have review processes if they think a player is doing it just to get off a team and onto another one. Usually guys who retire have legitimate health concerns and teams are happy to have the money off the cap sheet.

I would be thrilled to have Rozier on a cheap contract, but I don’t know how much better he is than a $4 million a year player (I really don’t know).

The bigger issue is if this is something the franchise is gunning for, not a fringe signing or down-the-list of priorities, and that they might still so ****ing gung ho on keeping a good player that we know doesn’t fit.

Because he’s better at basketball, cheap, and already here.

But he doesn’t stay healthy.
Neto isn't better. No GM in NBA history would take Neto over Rozier.

Cheap and here sure. As they say, a bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush. An injured bird, but a bird nonetheless.

Rozier's value depends on Donovan more than anyone else. What does he think of Rozier?

My fan opinion is that Rozier is a fantastic bulldog type we need at PG if we keep Donovan at SG. He could share PG with Exum to give us pretty damn good PG depth and defense. Rozier doesn't have to have the ball but he can attack and get streaky hot.

I would put Rozier about 7th or 8th on my list of targets, but I would love to have him if the others fall through.
