My daughter running a timed 40 yard dash

Bunch of goddamn wild animals on this forum...

dude there's no such thing as putting too much guilt on your kids ... Wes should probably try some psychological warfare training too, like Earl Woods used to do with Tiger ... didn't seem to do him any harm !!

FTR, I only take her once a year. This year, I decided to take her twice. And I don’t have her doing drills or workouts or anything. Ever. Just saying.

East German?

Its vintage like Prussian but better cause you'd have cool bags for your shopping

Elin Nordegren might have something to say about this.

Had her run two days ago. It’s still almost three months before she turns 5.

She ran a 9.4 and a 9.5 twice. Not bad.

ISIS just turned 5. I'll have him run it in a couple weeks when he gets back for comparison. He's a damn monster of a child though so i expect he's pretty fast for his age. He's the size of an average seven year old.

Cool story, had my oldest in San Diego when he was 4 and we went for dinner down the beach. He ran the entire 2.5 miles back. I was surprised a kid that young could run that long. Seemed very unusual but who knows. Anyone else have kids who can distance run that young? Seemed like a mile - 1.5 was about all they pushed us until 8th grade or so.

Wow! Is this my father?

He was just telling the story this weekend of when he was on a 20 mile run. He was 17 in and had to come back to the house to take a dump. I begged to run with him and I went with him the last three miles, he said at 6:40 pace...or 6:20 pace...when i was six years old...this is per him. I’m sure there’s always some embellishment going on (though he is psychotic with his training logs) and I vaguely remember this (it really was 3 miles I think) but I think I was more like 8 years old. Either way...

So yeah, I guess we can.

Like you said though, my races up to 8th grade were only 1 mile and I usually won or placed 2nd around 6:00 flat.

My son is 7. He's as skinny as it gets and doesn't really care for sports. I always thought my kids would love sports and be good at them. I'm not saying things can't change for him, but I don't expect them to and I'm ok with that.

He's next level smart for his age. He has a crazy memory and remembers and retains so much including roads. He knows all the countries and capitals.

He does like the Jazz though.

My 11 year old had a baseball tournament in Idaho Falls this weekend. We froze our asses off. It didn’t hit 50 for any of his games. Most of the games were played in the low 40’s with a wind chill below that and rain/hail. But he made the trip worth it. He hit his first ever home run. I don’t know how to add a video (is it possible?)
