What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

Seems like he’s just too normal to me... can’t stay off social media... is sensitive for sure... backstabbing? Idk

He seems like a good guy off the court to me. I hate that he went to a super duper team but I don’t think I could play my whole career with Westbrook either. It was a good business move for him.

Backstabbing is probably a bad word choice and doesn’t apply. But you get the jist.

Also, Toronto cheering his injury? Disgusting.

KD is a baby. How he left OKC. How he complains about negative press. How he can only win a title by going to GS. How he whines constantly.

The guy is super talented but he doesn't have my respect. If he goes somewhere outside of super stacked GS and does big things, he will have it 10 fold. Until then, I'm not a fan.

Just because a guy is talented doesn't mean he gets a free pass for his actions.

Draymond is incredibly talented, but I don't like how he communicates to refs and opponents. Terrible for the game. Terrible example for kids.

Curry and Klay are awesome though. How they carry themselves, play, everything.

Sure.

Not that it means anything but I noticed Tobias, Kemba and Kevin Love are in the team USA's mini-camp with Spidey. Perhaps he can reach out and do some recruiting to the Wasatch Front.

That's all you can do? Usually, you provide good responses. Make a case man

Nah I don’t need too... people that criticize his “actions” like he committed a crime have their minds made up... you can have your opinion of the man. I ain’t gonna try and change yo mind.

Seeing what happened to KD last night made me actually appreciate the Jazz keeping Donovan in the boot for a few months last year, even it wasn't the same thing. Better safe than sorry.

I agree with a lot of what Lopo said and HH’s response, but still feel awful for KD.

He was in a lose-lose situation last night.

If KD does have a torn Achilles as expected, how does this affect Utah’s free agency, if at all?
I don't think it changes us at all.

For KD, it might make him think about staying more. The love he got last night and the support he will need going forward might make him consider staying more. And if GS loses, they can fight to get back on top together.

KD leaving would have as much to do about legacy as it does happiness. If they lose this series without him (won in the only game he played in) yet he comes back next year and helps them win again, thats a legacy thing.

And oh yeah - GS can give him a ton more money than anyone else.

I will add - if KD stays, that's one less max guy taking up space elsewhere. If Kemba, Klay, KD and Kawhi stay, we have a lesser chance to get a big free agent. It will be an even stronger sellers market at that point.

If the Knicks or Nets are still willing to offer the max for a long-time deal, no effect. If they become gunshy about paying a guy $38M to rehab for 25% of his contract length, it's going to be massive and he'll opt in to his last year with the Dubs and cause them to go deep into the luxury tax (assuming they max Klay out).

I have no doubt KD will take the money as that's ultimately what he wants, but not knowing how KD is going to respond to this injury carries a ton of risk. If KD comes back and scores 20 PPG, you've whiffed. You need him to play at a max level.
