News, rumors and buzz around the draft and free agency

Windhorst said on LeBatard that the Nets still think they can get KD. And if he is still going to New York than Brooklyn makes way more sense.

That frees up Harris for us, and I really think we might be the front runner in that situation...

The time frames with all this stuff really ****s with us.

Unless he stays in Philly. Rumors of Butler to the Clips are pretty strong.

So, Lindsey telling him he wasn’t a max player was respectful?

When he asked for a trade to Boston the summer before he’s a FA and was told no, that was respectful?

Getting booed when he was drafted was respectful?

What has Utah/Utah fans done to earn his respect?

Good lord.

The Jazz invested 5 years in making him an NBA player. There are plenty of other teams he could have washed out on. They also built the entire team around making him an all-star. That will never happen for him again. He was never disrespected.

Lindsey told him to get his deal. This is pretty common.

Never happened.

How many picks are booed by their fanbases? Quite a bit.

My feelings exactly.

Hayward could have left Utah after his contract was up and simply told Utah he was done and wanted to go quietly. We would have been hurt, but would have respected it. No reason to string us along like he did.

I wouldn't mind if it were us, tbh

I've always liked him. He shoots well and plays good perimeter defense. 3&D guy who doesn't chuck. His contract isn't great but I like him. What's funny is how fans on other teams debate his basketball IQ - some say it's low and some say it's high. It's humorous there's such a range in opinion.

I'd say try and get some 2nds for him as well but the Bucks have traded their 2019, 2020 and 2021 2nd round picks and have zero picks incoming.

Hayward wasn't a max player at the time.

When you ask what has Utah or the Utah fans done to earn respect it really shows your ignorance. You can say a lot of things about Utah, but lack of respect is not one of them. The Jazz organization and the fans are as well respected as any in the game.

I would trade DedRx for Snell and #30. We just need to get them drunk and give the impression that Exum’s deal isn’t guaranteed.

Lindsey didn't tell him he wasn't a max player. Quite the opposite actually.
Lindsey told Hayward that he is a max player (even though he wasn't) twice by offering him a max contract 2 different times.
