Conley Officially a Jazzman

Conley is not a defensive beast. PG is probably the least defensive impact position. He's not a liability but not much else. His DRPM is middle of the pack the last 3 seasons.

Conley is a very good defensive player who has the potential to get back to 2 spg playing the with Jazz, like he did some years back with the Grizzlies. I have a feeling that his DRPM was affected by playing for an awful Grizzlies team in many non competitive games

We mostly sucked against Houstons defense. We could not generate any good looks for most of the games. There was a reason all our shooters shot poorly because most of the shots were either well contested and we were forced to shoot in last seconds of 24 sec shot clock. We played better with Favors at 5 then with Rudy, how difficult is to see that?

Here ya go. Jazz per game of wide open shots in the playoffs. They lead the league in the playoffs and did better than they did in the regular season with that. We just shot the worst percentage of any team on those shots. 28% on 26 shots per game without a defender to be seen is awful. It had nothing to do with Houston, it was us missing easy shots we normally make. If we had shot our season average on those we generate 14 more points per game. Plus it opens up the inside a lot.

The main reason we have wide open shots is because of Gobert.

just realized that since Conley is going to be absorbed thru capspace on top of the 3 players contracts Jazz lose the MLE. Is there any capspace left after the trade? Cause the rotation looks very thin. It's basically Dedex, Royce plus Niang. Yuck...
