We are apparently going to be “aggressive” in the draft tomorrow. I’m guessing that means buying a second rounder or two, but I’ll blindly and foolishly hope for another trade that somehow nets us Dario Saric.

Being aggressive has historically been a euphemism for picking up some cash considerations.

Great. I hope they trade up and get two guys in the 25-40 range. Going to need some cheap depth players. Hopefully the Jazz can find a gem in there. Seems like this could be a good year since it’s going to be a buyer’s market. Two future 2nd round picks or a bunch of cash. Hopefully they use both to try to get a couple of guys to fill out the roster and replace the guys we’re going to lose.

Because of the uncertainty in regard to where teams will be selecting, agents are even struggling to inform their clients upon what their range is with any high level of confidence. Many of the picks from 4 through 12 are in discussions. Picks from No. 17 to No. 23 are being discussed. There are teams that want to move up and down the board, and teams with multiple sets of draft pick ammunition to be able to accomplish such a goal. Legitimately, most years are not quite this wild in regard to the behind-the-scenes trade discussions taking place. This is a different situation than what we’ve seen in the past. Over the next 48 hours, the expectation is that a lot of different players and picks will be moved.

In before hardly any trades happen lol. I swear everytime insiders hype uncertainty and a lot of trades in a draft it ends up being fairly quiet and by the book.

Lol that might happen, but there's a few teams with a ton of picks like ATL and BOS who won't use all of them. And regardless, it seems like there's no consensus from like 15 to 40 so that'll be fun anyways.
