Conley Officially a Jazzman

Come on... don’t tell me we can’t use that. His contract is the only thing that makes him attainable.

Bruh those aren’t all centers and many aren’t nearly the same quality... you named a lot of names... congrats...

Also I don’t want to pay Favs that... I’m in the camp that says we should waive him and move on... you are arguing a weird third scenario that ain’t happening.

Honestly I think a trade of Favs into someone’s space is more reasonable. Like say Atlanta or Boston would trade a second for him once we guarantee his salary. That way they bypass the waiver process.

Also Favs is worth 17M... just not here. As a starter in Boston... that’s a super solid deal.
Thank you. Favors contract only exceeds his value here because we have Gobert. It's continually mind blowing to me how undervalued he still is among a fandom that by now should really know better.

I'm quite sad that a Delly+Love for Exum+Favors trade wouldn't work salary wise. But yes we are a better team with Love.

No we are not. Because Love will be watching a suit and tie. Like Exum he’s made of cracked glass.

He was playing center in all those clips... so now we know... all along you wanted us to get Love... tell the troof you want Love bad.

Wow, I just that the second 1st round pick going to Memphis is most likely to be the 2022 draft.

That is a big deal.

I'm puzzled at the mixed vibe here. Conley is legit.

Some people fear the future 1st rounder will end up too high. I think everyone agrees Conley will be great in the short term, provided he’s healthy and doesn’t hate on the city of Utah too much.

I only read 3 pages of this thread. But lol seriously? We’re bummed about trading for a huge upgrade over Rubio by ridding ourselves of:

1. A shooter who was so old and slow he couldn’t get off the bench against Houston?
2. A rookie so ineffective all his fanboys do is cite 2 meaningless games at the end of the year where he was our only offensive weapon?
3. A terribly inefficient tweener?
4. A late first round pick in a draft looking to be lacking severely in depth?

Seriously guys?

If Grayson and the 23rd were untouchables then we would’ve never made a deal to anyone. This is a great deal for us. We’re a better team. Now we need to get a few more shooters and we’ll be set.

Question... if we waive Favors do we have a shot at Harris? Or would it still not be enough? Love scares the **** out of me. If there’s a way for us to go all in on Harris we should definitely go for it.

Conley
DM
Ingles
Harris
Rudy

That’s a championship contender.

Won't be enough, Harris is going to get max it seems... or thereabout. Waiving Favors gets us about 16-17M of capspace. Maybe if we dump Exum for capspace we are getting close but I doubt he chooses us under max over other teams willing to give him max.

It is more unlikely that we trade him than waive with the hope to re-sign.

Let's just wait and see. I think many of us think it's unwise to pay Favors that much but it's clear we want him or he would have been in Conley trade.
