I actually think signing Rubio was a solid move for the Suns. What they need from a PG is exactly what he brings. Defense and passing. Plus he's a good locker room guy who will provide some leadership. Sure they are paying him a lot but it's not like they are contending in the next two years anyway.

I don’t get what motivated the suns to do this at all

Like everyone here , I’ve watched Rubio for the past 2 seasons , I think his defence is hugely overrated, and to a point I was disappointed in his passing ability ...
 
Is Utah the mystery team for Horford? Teams are scared about his age but the Jazz are not if they are trying to win now.
 
The Suns botched the draft badly and then paid Rubio 17M. Gotta be good at something. Booker is rich, but still, poor Booker.
 
Any chance we could pick up Ed Davis and Jeff Green? Combined I think they could make up for a lot of what we're missing by losing Favors. Green was great as a pick and roll roll man last season. He averaged 1.25 PPP as a roll man and was in the 80th percentile compared to Favors who was 1.19 PPP/71st percentile. And Davis would replace the size/rebounding/defense.

Bojan/Ingles
Mitchell/O'neale
Conley/Exum/Neto

Ingles would be 6th Man but would get more minutes than Green. Lineups could really be mixed and matched depending on opponent
 
He knows Snyder and turned down a ton from the Kings. He says money is not the most important thing and wants to win. The Jazz would be super scary with him in the rotation.

This NY Post back page a few months ago already is thee classic sports page here in New York. Zion, KD, and Kyrie all in Knick jerseys. It was going to happen. We got rid of a Unicorn to clear up space for a huge cap, biggest in the NBA, and man, that NY Post back page was not a dream but real. Then Adam Silver institues some insane new lottery system where the worst team in the league - us - has just a 14% chance of getting the first pick. WTF! Then KD gets hurt, then Kyrie (not exactly a geography expert) thinks the Earth is flat and thinks New Jersey is New York.

You know what makes this back page even more maddening? We did not get one, not one of those promised to us....
but the Nets, the Nets of all teams, got TWO of them!​
