I don't agree with the first sentence. I agree with the rest though. I've been saying it all along, he's seeking love respect adulation. Not the best basketball situation, not the preferred place to live, etc. Imagine how much fans around the league and media members will shout his praises if turns down the superteam route that every other star is looking to take. It would be the opposite of KD joining GS.
 
Well if he goes to the lakers, then he becomes a teammate of Lebron. He builds on that legacy and not his own. Lives in his shadow and not his own. It’s too bad really, that he would rather build on who lebron is rather than who he is himself.

I want him to stay in the East. Is there an argument otherwise?
 
There's a chance he knows Toronto is it and that Danny Green is re-signing too and the longer he strings it out the worse he makes the Lakers (who could have been the next juggernaut).

The only people I feel bad for are the writers that lose another July 4th, but they get to cover the NBA for a living so I don't feel too bad.

I think that’s his problem... there are times he looks like an all star but sometimes he’s invisible. He will have a couple nice dunks and he’s got such a great basketball build. I think everyone just wanted more from him. As a fifth starter or bench piece he’s great at the minimum... those nights he’s an all star you win... when he disappears it’s okay too.
 
Kawhi just landed here in Toronto, Pearson international airport YYZ. Masai and mlse are going to pick him up for the meeting that will take place at 2:30-3:00 est
 
This is so weird. The tracking and everything... it's too much.

This is nothing like GH. Hayward made the Jazz and the players go to him. Kawhi is being respectful enough to take flight to Toronto to do his business. Hayward knew. I think Kawhi is giving this his full attention and the respect it deserves. It shouldn't be lost that he became a country-wide superstar over the course of one season. He did it on his star power. In LA? He'll be a third string endorsement behind LeBron and AD.

He made it in Toronto.
