What's new

I grow tired of this...

At this point in time, who the hell cares? He used roids. Is anybody surprised?

*Yes, I am aware the trial is for perjury. I still don't care.*

What Goes Around Comes Around

I can't really expect Kicky to just laugh and admit it's true, but seriously how can our judges of today sit in judgment on baseball players and the baseball culture. Most judges just love dismissing cases on technicalities. Have you ever actually tried to read all the grist for the mill lawyers file in making their cases? If you're a smart lawyer you won't file a case unless you can clearly read the tea leaves and know beforehand that your case has legs, meaning that it serves the major money. Or some major trendy political constituency. . . .

I wouldn't refile on this case, I'd just walk away from it. Baseball is already watching it's p's and q's with an eye to retain their fans, this is just a waste of time while some anal retentive prosecutor tries to make a name for himself. FAIL.

Please. Tell me about your legal experience. Because this does not describe most of the complaints I see.

I listen to lawyers sometimes. Have worked as a sort of case researcher for a lawyer.

One lawyer serving the upper crust of Vegas told me what I related here. He told me I could not win a case simply on the points of the law, and he was right.

I sincerely hope you have not been running a financial and tax planning firm in Vegas.

Harry Reid was reported in the news for receiving $2M from a probate kitty and when it leaked out to the news the recorder closed the files and the newspaper was read the riot act, and it just disappeared. . . .

But your point that there are a lot of enthusiatic lawyers with high hopes still out there may very well be true. It just doesn't look to me like an indicator of future success. Still, I would love to hear any related stories you can tell me from your own experience. Even stories to the counter point.
