Most criminals don't affect me. But they should still be kicked out of office and preferably even locked up.
Negatively affects anyone? Just thinking of the border situation which he has caused, we have
* children in cages
* children separated from parents
* thousands of children have gone MISSING
Then we have the 20 or so women for which we have credible allegations of sexual abuse by Trump, up to and including rape.
Then we have the non-white individuals who are being discriminated against by him and others who are emboldened by our president making statements like "go back to where you came from", which as I have illustrated earlier in the thread is even against federal employment policy.
Then we have our posterity who will be paying for the national debt he is racking up.
I could go on and on.

Asylum semantics aside, there’s really nothing to defend here. Trump is completely indefensible. The guy is a complete and utter disgrace of a human being. Having that (not him) as our President is embarrassing. The position is symbolic of much more than just a job. And he’s completely **** on it.

Calm down. crossing the border with a valid claim of asylum is not a crime and should never result in detainment.
Trump represents a threat to social liberalism. That's always been the issue, since before he took office. Trump is pushing back the liberal agenda that stands for same-sex marriage, socialized healthcare, federal funding for abortions, liberal judges on the SC, open borders and social welfare programs for immigrants whose livelihood will then depend on voting for Democrats, etc., etc. And I've yet to meet even one self-proclaimed modern feminist who likes Trump.
There's something of a culture war going on between a social-progressive and a more traditional-conservative view of the country. Both sides seem to believe they have morality on their side.
Liberals have always hated Trump and will continue to hate Trump. And it's not just Trump. It's the attorney general, it's Brett Kavanaugh, it's Kellyanne Conway, it's Lindsay Graham, etc. They'll generate faux outrage and spew vitriol at anyone who interferes with the liberal agenda. It's the same thing that's been going on for 2 1/2 years.

As far as I can tell, crossing the border illegally is a federal misdemeanor, although I've read where that is actually disputed in the case of refugees seeking asylum. But suppose it is illegal even for refugees, what do you think the punishment for this misdemeanor should be?

If you weren't biased you wouldn't pass along myths such as the thousands of missing children nonsense, or sensationalize everything border security related like the leftist radicals are.
People keep questioning why nobody comments specifically on the bullet points in your list. The reason is because it reads like those anti-Obama emails that old men used to pass on. Call me odd but I voted for Obama's 2nd term because of the ridiculous outrage thrown his way and I'll vote a 2nd Trump for the same reason. Because the points raised in those posts were pretty compelling and none of you Trumpers who are “genuinely curious” have even attempted to address any of them.
PS Trump’s own ethics dept in the DOJ recommended that Conway be terminated by her repeated violations of the Hatch Act. But yeah, liberals and stuff.
