Since the committee's have quite a few members, it was felt the original time allotted between the Judiciary and Intelligence Committees would not allow some members any time at all to ask questions. The postponement was to permit the time allotted to be expanded and to allow Democrats to better figure out what questions to ask, and how to best apportion those questions. It allows the Democrats more time to strategize their approach for the day in question.

I believe the Democrats enjoy a majority in the House of Represenatives. I believe that makes the request for Mueller to testify the Democrat's call. I believe that's how things work in the House. I believe it has something to do with the way our democracy works.

I also believe Republicans will be asking their own questions of Mueller. Regardless of the date, had it been the 17th, or now, the 24th.

Prior to the 2018 election, committee chairs in the House were Republican, and they called the shots regarding supoenas, etc. Now, it's the Democrat's turn to call the shots. Of course, when Democrats are the majority in a chamber of Congress, Trump believes he can ignore the power granted them by the Constitution, but I'm just guessing that, because he doesn't seem to know, or care, how our government works. Couldn't possibly be because he believes Trump=the State, couldn't be because he's authoritarian by nature. He doesn't regard such an understanding to be a job requirement for a president. He's a stable genius and that allows him to just wing it....

As someone who didn’t vote for Trump in 16, I will be in 2020. With the antifa ****, college debt forgiveness, along with the movement towards a more socialist nation, the democrats have lost any hope I had for that party.
