The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

Would you vote for Harris or Warren if they ran as an independent or would you vote for Gabbard if she came out as the Dem winner?

I’ve already answered that.

I’d vote for the Democrat because as long as the EC is around, a candidate from one of the two major parties must obtain 270 electoral college votes. If they don’t, they’ll be appointed by one of the two major parties in congress. I’m not a fan of Tulsi but I’d vote Dem to rid ourselves of agent orange and punish his GOP. Don’t like this? Get rid of the EC (it’ll take 3/4ths of the states to agree).

Now tell me, as long as we’re doing hypotheticals, Which indep candidate has the qualifications, appeal, and popularity of Harris or Warren?

And others who are thinking about voting indep.

Along with hypotheticals, would you prefer to vote for a candidate like Warren or Harris who might be a little more liberal than you’re used to and get trump out? Or would you really prefer “political purity” and vote indep and give trump another 4 years to embarrass us globally and race bait black communities daily?

What “qualifies” someone to be POTUS in your mind? Appeal sounds like a subjective term to me. And well, this isn’t exactly a popularity contest.

What would be my qualifications for potus Right now?

* Someone who’ll actually read the daily briefing, not just watch Fox n friends.

* Someone will take measures against foreign interference with our elections.

* Someone who won’t dehumanize fellow human beings with their words

* Someone witty an attention span longer than 3 minutes.

* Someone who can spell the word “Constitution” without asking for help.

* Someone with a sense of humor. Hot take: Trump isn’t intentionally funny. He’s funny because we can’t believe an actual human being would be as dumb or clownish as he is.

Clearly, my low expectations are a reflection of how desperate of a situation our country faces right now.

I’d prefer to give trump another 4 years to embarrass us globally and race bait black communities daily. Sometimes you need to hit rock bottom first to realize how effed up we are as a nation, if people are so blinded that they would give Trump another 4 years.

"Finally, while we would not sink to name-calling in the Trumpian manner — or ruefully point out that he failed to spell the congressman’s name correctly (it’s Cummings, not Cumming) — we would tell the most dishonest man to ever occupy the Oval Office, the mocker of war heroes, the gleeful grabber of women’s private parts, the serial bankrupter of businesses, the useful idiot of Vladimir Putin and the guy who insisted there are “good people” among murderous neo-Nazis that he’s still not fooling most Americans into believing he’s even slightly competent in his current post. Or that he possesses a scintilla of integrity. Better to have some vermin living in your neighborhood than to be one."

Big socialist Bernie on Baltimore's living conditions:

“Anyone who took the walk that we took around this neighborhood would not think you’re in a wealthy nation,” Sanders said during a visit to the city’s West Baltimore section in December 2015, the Baltimore Sun reported. “You would think that you were in a Third World country.”

Reminder, this is just one of many major cities that have been run into the ground by Democrats.

2 things.

1. West Baltimore is part of Rep Cummings’ district. Trump trashed his district and used racist undertones to specially reference the poor black community in the district. You can’t see the difference?

2. West Baltimore has seen de-industrialization, white flight, and issues with crime and drugs for over 40 years. Blaming democrats for the macroeconomics occurring in that area would be like blaming republicans for the opioid addicted dumpster fires in white Appalachia that have seen declines in manufacturing and coal mining over the past 40 years.

Using your logic, you’d have no problem if Obama had attacked white parts of West Virginia that are addicted to opioids, right?

I agree that the country is in a desperate situation and that removing the would-be dictator should be top priority. But let’s analyze, how did he come to be elected in the first place? With slogans such as “drain the swamp”, of which he is part of. Some of Trump’s voters wanted deeper, fundamental changes to happen, such as moving to a more sensical and not so media driven electoral process.

You proved my point.

He won because he got 270 votes.

People who previously voted for democrats voted for trump, voted 3rd party, or stayed at home. That’s why Russian interference was key. Russians targeted groups, like minorities, to convince them that Clinton didn’t have their best interests and to stay at home or vote 3rd party.

If we want to avoid a repeat of that, vote for the Democratic nominee. They’re the only candidate who’ll prevent trump from getting 270 votes and winning re-election.

You heard it everyone, vote democrat no matter what. Democrat, democrat, democrat!!!

Yes. If you don’t want trump, vote democrat. A third party candidate has zero chance of winning 270 electoral college votes. I’m sorry that the truth hurts.

Want the GOP to reform itself and return to being a Conservative party and not just the party of white nationalists? Vote for democrats.

You might not like it, but it’s the truth.

I’m not sure why this is such a hot take. Seems pretty obvious to me.
