Steve King Goes to bat for Rape and Incest

I would say he has either been saying dumber stuff publicly recently or at the very least it's getting more press, so maybe there's some hope.

I wouldn't say it's likely he gets beat, but a man can dream can't he?

Steve King’s election is about as safe as Chris Stewart’s in northern utah. The dude could shoot someone at temple square and as long as he doesn’t trash trump or burn a Book of Mormon, he’ll be fine. He’d probably win by a wider margin if he shot a minority or a woman democrat that looked like AOC.

Rural “economically anxious” districts that proclaim to be the “real America” are really killing our democracy. As they grow poorer and more desperate and out of step with the 21st century economy and demographics, their anger at everyone else grows. They definitely have a self sustaining victim complex.

King survived a historical blue wave. We can all hope he’ll be ousted but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Disregarding the blatant racism of Steve king and today’s GOP because you disagree with someone who called you a Nazi? Maybe calling you a Nazi was an outlier? You don’t disregard the rest of the data just because of one outlier. The data shows the GOP becoming more homogeneous and increasingly more racist.

Lets not pretend that Steve King’s or Donald Trump’s Views aren’t mainstream republican. They're just louder than others. In fact, trump’s approval among republicans went up after his racist tweets on the squad. Racism is a winning strategy for republicans because they’re so racist. What other possible conclusion can be made?
