Open challenge. Forum wide. Convince me. I thrive on challenge.

How is The Thriller not hateful to the right, republicans and conservatives. Hate is the key word.

I don’t make these statements about anyone else. I’m clearly the outlier. That by itself is cause for reflection. At the least. How can it not be if anyone attempts any level of intellectual honesty?

But my evidence is his post history by itself. Constant anti right, and trump, spamming. 24/7. Advocating financial hardship for “trumpers” to teach them a lesson. Calling Bush a demagogue. Calling 10s of millions of Americans racist and sexist... go read it. Literally, it’s all there.

Again. I openly admit. I’m the extreme outlier here. No one else has this stance, at least not openly. Only me. So what the ****? It has to be me right?

So gauntlet thrown. I’m listening. And will honestly try to do my best to be open and thoughtful.

Hate is indeed the key word. It means "feel intense or passionate dislike", apparently. The Thriller is certainly passionate, as his voluminous posting and willingness to defend every word of it shows, and he does express a strong dislike. So I agree that he hates "the right", and certain politicians on the right.

The more interesting question is whether, and to what degree, his hate is misplaced, wrongly aimed, or unfair.

On a clear yes/clear no level, we agree. But hate isn't binary.

I think he is hateful to the right. I think he might even admit that.
In the other thread though you compared him to Dutch and heathme. That's where you went off the rails and were completely wrong. Those two are hateful, hyperbolic, deceitful, full of ****, and stupid. Which is way worse than just hateful.

The question is, do the politicians and people he shows hate towards deserve hate? I think that mostly the answer is yes.

Dude said that there are two things this country needs.

A recession.

And for Republicans to suffer.


Thriller is a **** knock who cries so hard about Trump, Politics, the right and routinely uses, "I work in education so I am very smart."


The world needs less Thrillers.
 
Also I think this word hate is more complicated.
Like I'm pretty sure that thriller is smart enough and sane enough to know that there are plenty of people on the right who are good parents, who are kind, who are generous and mostly good people.
I think he mostly hates the politics and politicians of the right as he sees them as often times immoral, unethical, hurtful and hateful.

Yep him saying that was wrong. I think we all make mistakes and say things that are wrong. I don't think that one comment totally encapsulates thriller and all of his posts though. He has many posts that are spot on.

From his posts, I would never guess he thinks that. The dude labels and clumps everyone with a different opinion. He's called me alt-right multiple times for example.

I think he things some of the things you post and believe are alt right.
I don't think he thinks you rape and murder and kick puppies though. I think he probably understands that you can think and believe things he sees as wrong yet still do good things too.

I think it's completely fair to say that Thriller expresses hate for Republican politics and Conservative ideology. I also don't think there's anything really wrong with that.

I think it's silly to paint the world with the big crayons and see all conservatism as horrible and liberalism as the fight for truth, justice and all that is good. And I think Thriller does that a lot of the time. So silly points to Thriller on that one.

But as OB pointed out, if you challenge what he says he will engage in an honest exchange regarding his position. That's getting less and less common and it's something the Heathme, NPC, Jazzrule and Eenie-Meenie will not do, not at all. They will at best deflect by claiming that liberals also do the horrible things their favorite politicians do. That is the most sophisticated argument you'll get out of them.

This. I finally put him on ignore and reported him for harassment due to him constantly referencing me in thread I was not participating in so he could have another Target to lump in with his hatefulness, regardless of what was being said. I've said it before and I stand by it, that "educators" like that, informing the minds of the younger generations, are contributing hugely to the problems of divisiveness and intolerance in our country. I legitimately feel concern that young people will take any of that as a viable stance on political discussion in America today. A clear example of how intolerant the "tolerant" left has become. A mirror image, and just as damaging imo, to Trump and his ilk.

I've called Thriller the Dutch of the left multiple times too and have wondered how his posts get a free pass compared to Dutch's.

Both of them are the extreme fringe of the left and the right and are incapable of having a discussion without acting like it's the end of the world and slamming their counter party.

Granted, I never really saw Durch's racist posts and condemn them if he did. The posts where he was slammed that I did see, weren't that bad and overblown to me. I don't know why he was banned but it did get old reading how he thought the forum was out to get him.

I'll be the first to say that Thriller could be less intense in real life. I have to wonder what his conservative students go through having him as an educator. I can only imagine. I would love to read his reviews online.
 
I don't think thriller would be wanting a recession and for the right to feel the pain if George W Bush would have been elected in the last election.

I don't think straightline would call everyone who supports Trump Nazis if it were bush that was being supported as president.

These are the types of things that are happening due to Trump being the president. Thrillers comment I posted above and straightline calling people Nazis are symptoms of the disease. Trump is the disease. Hell, even heathme is only a symptom of the disease of trump.

If anyone doesn't like how thriller posts or straightline (stoked, Archie) or even heathme then you best vote for anyone but Trump in the next election.

#nevertrump eliminates many (not all) of these problems.

Dutch got a pass for his political stuff. That was never what he got in trouble for around here. He absolutely couldn't help himself making "monkey" comments about black people, using homosexual slurs as insults, calling muslims animals and barbarians, insulting and demeaning women for being women. Just over and over and over. He could have posted his political stuff until the end of time if he had the slightest ability to not be a racist, misogynistic, homophobic POS.

Yeaaaaah, I think he is going beyond this. He hates people who simply believe differently than he does, equating them to Nazis. Once you think that half of America is Nazis, you have driven far past "reasonable," and past the point where people should be concerned about your thoughts.

This is myopic. Trump isn't the "disease." Trump himself is a symptom of something much larger, and it isn't the rebirth of the KKK. Also, yes, a lot of the left thought GW Bush was Hitler too.
