The more I look at our Roster lined out, the more excited I get. I think it makes sense to put Ingles in the role of our 6th man. He's so valuable to our offense and defense, I think his value could be used best as a 6th man, still receiving ample minutes as well as jump starting our subs. The same way that POP used Manu for so many years.
As far as back up PG's go, we definitely have em! Mudiay is going to kill it under Coach Q's system and I give props to Mudiay's agent BJ Armstrong for recognizing this right from the beginning of free agency.
Exum is a great player when healthy, but I think his time is limited to the first 3 months of the season. If he doesn't jump out and demand recognition than he's on the block by January no matter what.

Lakers are relying a lot on their starting 5 and star power. I have no doubt that their team will look very different after the trade deadline. They have the roster to come out and run, but only for the short term. This is a team that will be worn down by the time the playoffs start.
I think the Jazz have the edge based on the fact that we're 2 players deep in almost every position.

I would really like to hear the opinions of the community, let's discuss!!

Ed Davis won't be starting. Neither he nor Rudy can hit a shot outside of 5 ft.
It will be Green or Jazz will go small with Bogdanovich and Jingles.

Yeah, Davis definitely won't be in the starting lineup and I doubt he and Rudy will ever be on the floor together. Our fifth starter is either going to be Ingles, Royce or Green.

If we start Ed Davis and Gobert together, you’ll see us score maybe once a month. Those two together would destroy all spacing out there.

I disagree about Ingles on the bench. He can't be your main ball handler/ play maker on the floor. And this team doesn't have anybody that can roll to the basket on the bench and that was his main attack with the ball. He plays better with other players on the floor to take pressure away from him and this Jazz bench doesn't have that. I think Bogy starts at PF and they play small to start and Green and Davis come in later at PF C and get a little bigger. If necessary Bogy can be the scorer off of the bench with those guys. Even if he is starting

Cool, thanks, Davis should be on the bench. I did mention that it was a "Potential" Starting 5. The main question is do the Jazz have a better team or the Lakers? With 4 replies in it would be great to see a reply of someone that can answer the question that's in the topic line.
Regardless of Starting 5, roster to roster, who is better, Jazz or Lakers?? JFC

Jazz, duh.

One team is legit championship contender, the other will barely ( if ) make playoffs and is primed for 1st round exit at best. I let you figure out which one is the Jazz.

I think 2 of DM, Conley, Bojan, Joe should be on the floor at all times when healthy. Bench vs Start doesn’t bother me one way or the other... I think Green starts unless Royce sets the world on fire. Joe comes off the bench but I believe the closers will be Bojan Joe DM Conley Rudy.

Also Luck the Fakers!

PG: Conley>Rondo
SG: Mitchell>Green
SF: Ingles/Bogey<Lebron
PF: Ingles/Bogey>Kuzma
C: Gobert=Davis

Though, if that's the Lakers starting lineup they wouldn't be able to get a point from their bench. I think a starting 5 of Rondo, Bradley, Lebron, Davis & McGee would be WAY better for them. Kuzma is only good for offense and he isn't getting touches if he's on the floor with LBJ, Davis, Green/Bradley.

Also, we're still better, but if the lakers did start Rondo, Green, Lebron, Davis & McGee that would be a tough & LONG defensive lineup.

Lakers are deeper than I thought they’d be tbh. Damn LeBron and LA

I once again wish for the Jazz path to be through the Clips, Lakers and Rockets in no order. Then destroy the Sixers.

I want ALL the glory.

I personally cannot wait for LeBron to get Jingled.

I love Gobert, but at least be real. Davis is definitely better than him when healthy

That's good point. I also think that guarding both Lebron and Davis will be the challange for us giving our weakness at 4. Some are really underestimeting Lakers but if they get healthy to playoffs they may be tough. I still like our chances because our team is more balanced and deeper but I don't think that it will be so easy as some paint it.

I dont see any spacing for the Lakers sso they will be forced to challenge Rudy at the rim. We on the other hand are going to crush them from outside with Bojan and Jingles receiving kickouts from Don and Conley pnr's with Rudy. Take that away and it lobs all day. I think we can take the Lakers in 5.

You would think that would show up in the win column. Has the Jazz roster been significantly better than the Pelicans outside of their stars? I think Davis coasts a lot. Is he a much better player than he was 3 years ago? I know without a doubt that Rudy will be better this year than last. Until proven otherwise, I consider Davis to be the Tracey McGrady of centers. Godly in spurts, but when the chips are down? Ehhhhh.

The only addition I hate for Lakers is D. Green. That guy is ultimate champion, role player and very versatile defender. Not even talking his 3pt shooting. I wish he would have gone somewhere else. He will give Mitchell problems.
