Love that it’s one year, eventually his age will catch up to him, this won’t tie the jazz down in that event too many teams make the mistake of signing a guy to too many years, this also allows us to re-resign him to the right deal afterwards.

My honest guess is Joe retires from the NBA at that point. He seems like the kind of guy who is just fine leaving and has made plenty of money. I would expect Joe to retire a Jazz man.

I’m also not fully certain I like this move tbh.
