I was not a fan of the trade last year. I wasn't a fan this summer. I'm glad to see them go for it to do something, not to just sit on endless assets with no action. I'm very glad to have them take a chance and try something. I still think it wasn't the best something, and as a fan I reserve the right to be a total unreasonable *** about. But believe it or not I can be in both camps. Happy they made a big move to swing for at least a base hit, and not be happy about how they chose to do it. I like Conley as a player, always have. He's a class act. He has jazz DNA. But at the same time he is ball dominant, which makes it hard to mesh with our other ball dominant guard. He's undersized, so now we have the smallest back court in the league. And in giving up, imo, too many assets for an aging undersized high character point guard, we have become one of the smallest teams in the league overall. Even too much for effective small ball. So the jury is still out. I'm hopeful it will all come together, and I think it the long run we have a better shot. But incorporating all the new players, and hoping it all comes together before Conley comes to the end of his usefulness, is going to be aggravating.
And as a fan I reserve the right to both cheer and celebrate when we win and bitch like a little, um, bitch, when we underperform.
So get ready for some pretty hefty bitching to start the year. And hopefully some deafening cheering at the end.

I hated the trade. I'm sick of the Jazz wasting 1st round picks on the point guard position.
Conley is a stud as a person and he'll obviously improve as a player. For what he's being paid and what the Jazz gave away to get him he has to be near all star level to be worth it.
