They are maximizing revenue. They don't care about the game per se, only what makes the money. Fans tend to latch onto teams but spend money on players (merch).

It's a challenge for me to watch Utah games live on TV due to the time difference. I watched SAC game live and still can't forget what Gobert did pretty much single-handedly for 6-7 straight defensive possessions in Q4. It was a god-like performance I've not seen since ORL's Dwight Howard. With this memory so fresh, I'm not ready hear anything bad about Gobert yet. And actions speak louder than words.
