What's new

ENES KANTER: The third and last game of the preparation tourney will start in half an hour

Yes. He's rusty and in a very poor system. He's going to need a year, but to call him a bust (Verlin) is just dumb.
Watching these players play makes me want to be a coach. So much that could be done with these players, both developmentwise and strategywise.

Update: Kanter misses a contested 10- to 14-footer. Soon latter, with aggressive defense on the high post, causes a turnover. He needs to learn how to post up better, and the wings need to learn how to feed it better.

Ok Enes is catching the ball in the post and not even trying to back down the defender. Settling for the jumper.

At nearly 7 foot he gets stuffed and lacks the explosivness to rise above defenders. Thats going to suck hard for him in the nba.

For those watching, that face-up shot from 14' (he's missed both this game) is normally his money shot. It'll come and so will the rest if his game.

Remind me again of how many profesional games you have seen of kanter? Just as many as we have. He normally has nothing.

as pkm will let you know. He needs like 4 years or something and then he will figure it out. I cant wait!!!!!
In <2 years, Kanter can make significant strides if he has effective off-court training and gets regular time on the court (i.e., not the Fesenko method of 5 minutes here and there, followed by 3 DNPs. Such sparseness is not likely to happen, as Kanter's probably got a better all-around game already, and the team is more likely to invest more resources in a #3 overall pick than a second-round afterthought.)
