Small sample, but enough to know Bradley ain’t it. Lindsey whiffed on a #30 pick. It happens. If he plays the 5...
... it means DL’s prized guy that’s in his third year was able to be replaced by someone off the scrap heap who’s never played a minute in the NBA.
I have no problem with that. What I’ll have a problem with is the insistence that we can salvage something. DL strikes me as a guy who has a drawer full of old batteries, not quite wanting to let go of the very minimal amount of charge he may be able to draw out of them if he shakes them vigorously.Small sample, but enough to know Bradley ain’t it. Maybe he’ll help us land Patty Mills.I called him a hoarder the other day... I think this is a good description too. My issues with the Tony pick:
1- the thought process behind it was goofy... draft a guy who is not athletic, not a shooter, and can only play one position... the one position that we have a cornerstone at the time... and the one position being marginalized and where there are an abundance of options.
2- the sunk cost stick with it mentality.
3- picking up his option... just why?
4- This could go with #1 but the trading up because San Antonio was totally going to pick the guy supposedly... this was just a weird narrative to me and I think the Spurs trolled us.
After watching his highlights from the G League this season I think it makes sense. Can catch and finish the bounce pass on pick and roll or the lob. Wide big body so sets good screens. Seems like a solid passer and that he knows where to be. Can handle and moves his feet well on defense. Straight stood a couple guys up on drives and you could tell he's strong AF. I would like to see him play some on Friday.
Lol last night I predicted he would replace Kidd next year. Didn't think it'd happen the next day.
We should have sent Niang to Portland. There were desperate!Same reaction I had.
Though in a perfect world we signed him because some other team is dumb enough to send a 2nd for Niang. <--- I wish
Morgan has been good with the Stars so far this season - seems to have a decent all-around game.
