For that matter, why have professional sports at all?

Answer, to make money.
I know that the Olympics are really a money making endeavour, but most athletes in the Olympics are not in it for the contract, so why separate there?

What about collegiate sports? Or high School?

My daughter actually threw the shot put in high school, and I guarantee you she could have out-thrown any of her brothers at that age. Throwers have different bodies than runners (which I'm guessing your daughter is, based on being in club-level soccer).

Go ahead, do some research on the subject.

My daughter is most certainly not a sprinter. I’m a 350 pound 41 year old man with a bad foot and I can out sprint her in a 40 yard dash. What makes her a comp level soccer player is most definitely not her speed.
My 12 year old son is naturally more athletic and stronger than his older sister. Even being 3 years younger, when they wrestle around, he can move her around almost as he wishes. Playing tackle football for the first time this year, he often went against bigger kids. Sometimes much bigger (there was one kid that was almost as big as me, both height and waist). He held his own against all of them, beating most of them, and dominated one or two.
Now imagine him as a high school senior who just transitioned to female the summer before. Are you going to tell me he wouldn’t have a built in advantage competing against a field of life long females?

Why protect women from anything? Why protect minorities from "losing" in life?

We're discussing sports, not life.

You dont think that women use sports to further their success in life the same way men do? You dont think it matters to them?

I think the women talented and successful enough to do so don't need our protection.

Im actually pretty surprised you aren't woke on this matter.

I am not surprised that you use "woke" to mean the opposite of what it supposedly means.

It's just like I said, when it comes to trans the woke left completely forgets about every other protected class and elevates trans to the top of the victim hierarchy.

The "woke" left understands that there is no hierarchy.

The obvious question here is why do you think its ok to trample over protected classes to save another?

The more fundamental question is why you see someone being trampled over, when there is no evidence to support it.

Its impossible for you to answer the question. So you won't because you can't.

I agree there is no good answer to questions based on false premises.

He would likely destroy them and probably injure quite a few

I don't have a good reason to have women's sports separate from men's sports. I'f like to see evidence that trans women athletes overall strongly outperform cis women athletes before I connect that issue to segregation in sports by gender.

I didn't say "sprinter", I said "runner". Are you saying that your daughter is bigger and stronger than the other soccer players, or that she has better endurance?

It sounds like your son would not be atypical transgender athlete, then. He's not even a typical male athlete, as he dominates them, right?

Now imagine him as a high school senior who just transitioned to female the summer before. Are you going to tell me he wouldn’t have a built in advantage competing against a field of life long females?

It sounds like he has an advantage against both boys and girls. Do you think he should not be allowed to compete at all?

Not at all.

Still waiting for evidence that will happen.

Are you saying you are unaware of transgender people entering and winning contests and breaking records, in women's competitions?

What more evidence do you need? Literally a white male transitioned to a female, entered a power lifting contest and broke records.

I'm aware of, out of hundreds of transgender athletes, one weightlifter and one cyclist at the top levels in their sports. Got any others?

What was ignorant about what I said?

I meant to quote the other part of that post.

It's ok to be a suppressive white male as long as you just say you feel like a women. Then all responsibility is lifted off.

There's a lot more to being trans that "feel like". Trans people bear a huge amount of societal hate. They are held responsible for many things. Participating in sports is not "suppressive".

Those are hurtful things to say.
