What's new

The Official: Trade Conley and Exum for Lillard.

Are we talking Jazz's success or Exum's? Because if it is about the Jazz Exum is in exact position for us to succeed - on the bench.
we will just have to wait and see, but under quin there will be no success, do u honestly believe Donovan is going to stay in Utah where he can go to New York, Los Angeles or Boston and make a lot more money and have success.
The only success the jazz will have will be getting to the second round under Quin.
Move away from Quinn and there is a chance

Why?? Are you trolling or is this serious? There is no way in hell the Blazers go for this. Cmon Jazz fans, we can do better.

There has been one occasion where the Jazz told Dante to go out there and be 'that' dude.

In that summer league where the Jazz challenged him to be the best player on the court, in all 3 of his summer league games. He averaged 20/5/5. I know, its summer league, but regardless, he was asked to be the man. He shot more off the dribble shots in a few minutes than he had all previous season , and even had David Locke gushing on the fact that he was actually doing it. He was making them too. At that point, I saw the Dante that I was accustomed to seeing before he got drafted. I said to myself, where has this Dante been?

Lets not forget, Donovan Mitchell was the worst rookie in history, in his 2 to 3 week play at the beginning of the season, but he was afforded that time, and for good reason, because now we are bearing fruit. He was allowed to make every mistake possible, and boy did he make them. Dante wasn't allowed, that's not up for debate. He wasn't allowed, for good reason or bad reason, he wasn't afforded the same.

Injuries are to blame as the top reason for his development, or lack of. Then Quin, the coaching staff, and Dante himself are to blame after that. You cannot absolve blame from any of them, and like I just mentioned, that includes Dante himself.

EDIT: On topic though, I would snatch their hand for this trade.

You're missing the point... He doesn't even have the confidence to shoot......

sounds like an issue in the Australian high school basketball program Simmons and Exum both got it.

He sucks as a shooter... always has... likely always will. Up until a couple years ago even his layups looked awkward as hell. He is fast and long... might be enough for him to be a bench player if he stays healthy. Outside of that he’s bad or meh... we’d have been much better off selecting someone else in that draft or letting him walk.

I want him to be good... he plays for the team I like... but it’d be much better for him to figure out basketball somewhere else.

Doubt it is all program to blame, they had very decent shooters come out from Australia - Mills, Ingles, Delly, even Baynes now hitting 3's like crazy. I remember they had this dude Shane Hill in 90's - he was lights out shooter. Exum and Simmons are more exception to the rule TBH.

I'm just joking of course... I have no idea what the HS programs are like in Australia.

Of course the generalization thing must be strictly an American thing...

I apologize to all of Australia generally... I just wanted to get off some Simmons jokes. I hope you can accept my apology... I have been a supporter of your King Lord Joseph English III for quite some time.
