What's new

Jeff Green has been waived

Its not addition by subtraction. Jeff Green was one of our ten best players. It makes no sense to cut him instead of someone on our roster who either does not belong in the league or is not ready for the league.

This was a terrible move.

We'll bring in someone else to be one of our 10 best players. The Jazz need a big, athletic wing or forward who looks like Jeff Green, but actually plays hard, defends and rebounds.

Jeff Green was in the rotation so I guess on that sense he's a "rotation player" but he's been trash all year.

He's still better than Niang.

He's still more experienced and prepared to help us win than Brantley, Bradley, Morgan, Oni, JWF, NWG.

WE ARE TRYING TO CONTEND HERE, NO?

Bring in someone else to be one of our 10 best players how? We traded our only real trade piece today. To be players in a buyout market you need vets like Green on the roster. They ain't gonna sign for gleaguers.

What the actual ****. I'm so lost. Why are we waiving someone who is an actual rotation player instead of someone who isn't for a player who has never played in the league when we're trying to contend
Ya this one confounds me

He is better than Niang, but he hasn't helped us win much at all this year. The jury is out on whether Brantley or Morgan could contribute more in that department.

Tucker is averaging 23.6 ppg in the GLeague. Averaged about 10 ppg in 19 minutes in Vegas Summer League playing for the Bucks team.

I'm a little surprised at how baffled some of you are about the Jazz are shaking up the roster after we've all been experiencing how trash our second unit has been.

*edit* just saw Tony Jones tweet about getting more time for Niang. Um.

This kid better kill this opportunity. We're gambling a lot on this. Our bench frontcourt is now Niang and Davis who have both been terrible and a Gleaguer.
