Dante scores 28 pts on 11-13(4-4 3pt) in 24 min

yep. Which I think happens on a bi-weekly basis with us. We’ll often go up big, fall asleep, and let some no name player have a big night to bring their crappy lottery bound team back. It’s the NBA. Dante had a nice game against an awful team.

Let’s see what Dante does for more than just a handful of games. Keep in mind, Clarkson has scored more in one week against playoff teams than Dante has for the entire season.
Irrelevant tbh. You can't discredit the meaning of his points when they directly get Cleveland back in the game.

Lol at the overreaction on this board after one good game. Any average player who’s been in the league long enough has had their night. But hey good for him.

Wanna bet within the next 10 games he'll start getting into a groove? With Porter Jr. out he'll be starting soon.

Some would say Deron was treated unfairly by Sloan his rookie year, was benched because he wasn’t playing well, and he turned into an all star. This blaming Quin crap is ridiculous. Everything Quin did for Exum was to help him improve. We should also remember that it’s Quin’s #1 job to win games. In Exum’s second season the jazz were playoff bound and Exum being in his second year wasn’t helping the team win. What is Quin supposed to do, let all the young and unready Exum bring the team down for the sake of his progression. Truth is Quin did everything he could for Dante without sacrificing the success of the team.

Good job.

He stuffed the stat box in a blowout loss against a team that plays no defense.

We've seen this before.
I don't think it was a blowout loss. (Not sure though). The highlight ends with the Cavs up by 1, 97-96

I watched the highlights and he looked unstoppable.
He got them a lead in the 4th, but unless the highlights lie, that's the last time he did anything worth watching.
His team lost by more than 10.
He did look good though and didn't seem to get injured and was using his length and quick first step. I think he learned a thing or two from DM.

What an overreaction to one fluke game. He made his ugly layups and jumpers in ONE game, woo hoo, lets proclaim him next Kobe again. Next game he will go 0-5 from 3 and all will be back to where it was - his shooting mechanics did not change, and his movement is as ugly as always. And this thread should be moved to general NBA thread, he plays for Cavs - nobody should care about Exum anymore except his aussie homers. Go cheer for him on Cavs forum.

The problem with Exum is that it became clear he isn't a point guard and is more of a wing. He just wasn't as valuable to us as an alternate, non featured wing. His handles never developed. That is squarely on him.

All of them had way more good games and showed more NBA skill then Exum.

That's not true. Exum plays defense which makes him more valuable than those three combined. I'm not sure the other three could even stop my old fat butt from getting to the rack, even in their prime.

Clarkson hears what Exum did,I hope it motivates him a little to show Jazzland that he can play even better. I bet Exum seeing Clarkson playing well motivated him to breakout with a 28 point game

Exum plays good individual defense , team defense is a different story. You think you are smarter than Snyder who constantly was subbing him out after messing numerous defensive switches and looking like fish out of the water anybody would put a screen on him.
All in all, enough with Exum talk, move this **** to general NBA, nobody cares anymore.

He's got talent, t'was a good trade. Gives the Cavs fans something to talk about... and us a championship piece.
