What's new

All time wasted NBA talents ?

Dajuan Wagner. Wasn't he supposed to be the next AI?

Stromile Swift? I remember him having loads of potential and yet he sucked.

How about Eddy Curry? I thought he and Tyson Chandler were supposed to be the next Twin Towers.

Or Hasheem Thabeet, the next Mutombo?

Greg Oden. Although, I'm not sure he could've really fixed his problems. Had he stayed healthy, his potential was through the roof. Same thing with Brandon Roy, not exactly his fault...

Donyell Marshall always struck me as someone who could've been a star (like a smaller Lamar Odom) but played stoned 99 percent of the time.

To a certain extent, what about Steph Marbury? The dude had super athletic potential but had no brain. He and Steve Francis were unstoppable in NBA 2k.

What about Glen Davis. I heard people comparing him to a young Shaq when he entered the league. He was okay but never really seemed to maximize his potential.

Jonathan Bender.

maybe?

Deron Williams. Like seriously. The dude was right there with CP3 as the top PG in the league. Then, he became a major d-bag. Even Drose is in the league still.

Tim Thomas is always the guy I think of for this category.

Joe Barry Carroll

Derrick Coleman (even I think he made some all-star teams)

Ty Lawson

Josh Smith

Haqim Warrick
Desmond Mason
Donyel Marshall
Alex Len
Tyreke Evans
Noah
Ricky Davis
Joe Smith
DeMarcus Cousins
Penny Hardaway
Grant Hill (injuries but still)

You guys forget one of the best of all time. Sam Bowie... drafted ahead of Michael Jordan. The fact no one remembered him tells all.

Bobby Hurley.

College:
NBA:
Points 1,032 (3.8 ppg)
Rebounds 283 (1.1 rpg)
Assists 880 (3.3 apg)
Hurley got injured in a car accident.
